Wolf Grey, Midnight Navy, & the Pure Platinum are my top favorite colorways on Air Jordan 1 Low Golf.

Thanks Kevin! Love the review. Jealous of you getting a pair of the Wolf Grays. Only could track down all whites in size 12 here in the States. But that’s a non starter colorway for the golf course.

Yeah. I’m not a fan of the white ones. Hopefully you’ll be able to cop a pair soon, they keep coming back in stock here in the UK, but sell out pretty quick too

These have really started to become my go-to golf shoes. I suspect that it’s largely due to the low profile keeping me connected to the ground and more stable than most of my other shoes. Granted my shoe collection consists almost entirely of Jordans and Nike Air Max. I feel the traction on these is really underrated however. I’ve worn them in wet conditions and had no issues at all with slipping. The upper is comfortable enough although as you stated they don’t provide much in the way of support. I’ve picked up a pair in every color thus far except for the UNC blues. So Levin if you happen to come across a pair of those in a UK 12 (US 13), hit up a long time supporter of the channel!

Compared to other Jordan golf shoes, these are by far the lowest and most connected to the ground. With that said, I’ve you’ve Nike ever worn J’s and Air Max on the golf course, I can see where you’re coming from re these having enough stability. But trust me, compared to the vast majority of dedicated golf shoes, these lack the stability they offer. However, for a lot of golfers (including some pro’s) that’s just not a big deal, and there are either far bigger swing faults causing issues compared to the shoes…or more likely people just don’t care about the potential gains that could be had from more stable shoes, because they’re practically immeasurable. And I’ll keep a look out for the UNC 12’s and grab a pair if I spot them 👍

Would look great with a pair of jeans but as you said, not the best golf shoes from a practical perspective. Do look excellent though.

Thanks for the review! I got a pair and found them to be stable in dry or slightly wet conditions, but I wouldn’t play them if it’s very wet. For me, the sizing runs big so I went 1/2 size smaller. I would recommend them for sure.

Thanks for watching Zach. I can see how some might want to size down half a size, but I just figured they’re supposed to have plenty of room in the toe box. I think whether they have enough traction and stability has a lot to do with your swing. I know (as I’ve been on a few ground force plates) that my combination of ab early extension, and a lot of force on the rear leg means my rear foot will slip backwards if I don’t have enough traction, so generally I wear spikes all the time where possible 👍

Thanks for watching Phil. Grip is a funny one, as I say in the video, for many people, they’ll be fine in most circumstances, otherwise pro golfers wouldn’t be wearing them. But I know I need as much grip as I can get, so I wouldn’t wear these if I really cared about my score, as there’s a good chance my rear foot will slip at some point, even if it’s dry. But that’s happened for me wearing other brand shoes too, so if I can I prefer to wear spikes

These are really good in wet grass, the only way you could get better traction than these on the course is in spikes. They have "better" insoles than standard AJ1's, they are still bad. I run Heffelux insoles in all my AJ1's, and they do great. I have the Shadow pair, and I just picked up a pair of the Panda Highs. I'll probably get rid of my lows because they just don't wear like the highs, which I much prefer.

  • @GolfGuyReviews

Thanks for watching. I’ve put Move Game Day insoles in mine, and now I wear my AJ1 low golf everyday off the course 👍 I’d say you can get spikeless shoes with better traction than these, such as the Footjoy Pro SL or Fuel, or the Adidas CodeChaos or Tour360 XT 2.0, but the AJ1 low G will do a good enough job for most. Same goes for the water resistance in long grass, they’ve let some in for me, but the tongue isn’t a water resistant material and there’s no gusset like you find on the Ecco H4 or Mizuno shoes. I returned my AJ1 high golf shoes, I just don’t get on with any high sneakers or boots, so I decided it wasn’t worth the pain and blisters they were gonna cause me, not for now at least

I’d say yes it’s quite a wide shoe, but I have narrow feet so a lot of shoes feel wide to me. I’ve not actually worn a pair of dunks before so I’m afraid I can’t offer a comparison

The Nike Air Max’s are the most uncomfortable golf shoes I’ve ever put on… loved how they looked, but the grip around the ankle is absolutely horrendous and wayyyy too stiff. The Jordan low 1 was way more comfortable! Absolute no brainer. Comfort > looks unless you really care about what people think.

  • @GolfGuyReviews

The air max90 G does break in a bit eventually, but yea I agree the Jordan 1 lows are more comfortable out of the box and have a much wider fit too. However there are far more comfortable spikeless shoes than the Jordan 1 low too

In terms of looks and style...these :) (although I appreaciate they're barely golf shoes) In terms of overall comfort, traction and stability, my favourite is still the Roshe G Tour, although they haven't been available in the UK for a year or two now which is really annoying.

  • @josey777cat

@@GolfGuyReviews Yeah some trainers do not have proper grips but either do some golf shoes, when you play in summer I find no difference with my Nike joyrides (£60) and they are comfortable the whole round. As for golf clubs knowing if a player is wearing golf shoes nowadays the shoes like Nike 270 and air max all look the same, would they have shoe police. I understand that some are waterproof but when it’s wet you tend to use spiked shoes. My problem is in the current climate with the cost of living going through the roof, and golf companies putting prices up on trainers that are golfing (air quotes) it makes more sense to just buy a pair of normal trainers and wear there on and off the course. My opinion anyway. Keep up the review of shoes I do enjoy these, I can still dream of buying some one day.
