Really? What Eurovision have you been watching then? Because even in the 90s we didn't have this, so not really...

Joost Klein dedicated this song to his father, who died when he was 12 years old due to cancer. His dad taught him that the world has no actual boundaries. His mother died a year later, when he was 13, due to cardiac arrest. Before his dad passed, Joost was already writing all kinds of stuff and promised one day he was going to go to Eurovision. He has gone through so many challenges in life, and it is a true inspiration to see how he deals with them.

I am scared that it might not even finish on the left side of the scoreboard. It’s already the type of song and performance that gets 0 points from the jury, and it’s early in the running order AND the performance itself might drive the more serious tele voters away. That's the nice thing about Eurovision, you can root for your country all you like but you cannot vote for it. That's why you get the freedom to enjoy the other countries' entries as well, and vote for the SONG you like best! At least this is unique and is a bit of an earworm, so it sticks. And don't forget...this is going to Eurovision, a contest whose fans absolutely love more outlandish stuff. And do not worry. Y'all will definitely not embarrass yourselves nearly as much as my country in our 2007-2009 era. So take some solace in that.

So I just heard this, just learned Joost’s background and holy smokes. I, too, lost my Dad to cancer and just 9 weeks later my mother died of a heart attack. My best wishes to this man and I wish nothing but the best for him!

It's so sad how many loose their Parents due to cancer, I was 15 when my dad died because of cancer. Cant Imagine how it would have been Loosing my mother too. Best wishes to you ❤
