These were tears of joy. Key and Jonghyun were proud and happy with how far they came. To be performing at the Tokyo Dome was a huge honor to them. Depression isn't being sad all the time. As someone who's had depression for many years now I can tell you that I have many happy memories with friends and family. Sometimes the emptiness just gets to me. For those of you saying that all he needed was for them to help him, they did. They supported him and loved him. Outside support can only go so far though. In the end you have to learn to love yourself too. For Jonghyun, he couldn't do that in the end. Don't ever say they didn't try to help him though. They were his brothers, his family. He meant everything to them, and they meant everything to him.

He cried his heart out.... He knows well....i wish he had someone to lean on everytime he wanted..

This was their first concert at Tokyo dome, which was their dream. The fans did a special event where 55k of them spelt out “always with you” in the audience while they were singing. They all burst into tears.

True, being an igot7 even I can't stop myself from crying when I saw this dingko -k beauty video where jonghyun consoles the girl and tight after that this video. Hope he is happy now and in a better and peaceful place where no sorrows bother him. Mental problem is real. Being an indian and losing SSR (Sushant Singh Rajput) in 2020 was a real shock. Then getting to know about jonghyun from my cousin who's an army 3 weeks before was another shock. You see whether you stan shinee and jonghyun or not, that isn't important. You'll agree that he had a pure heart which made even strangers smile when he smile. That smile innocence and pureness he had was something non describable. The stage tribute that got7 paid to jonghyun show what kind of friends they were 😭😭 R.i.p. jonghyun 💔💔

Stop saying Jonghyun was crying bcuz he wasn't happy, his cry was deep but that's literally how jonghyun been crying all his life, he is just so sweet and emotional and he lets his feelings overtake him. That's his way of expressing them This was their first Tokyo dome concert so ofc it was overwhelming to him. Stop fuking saying it as bcuz he was sad, stop reducing his life to just his dark times, he lived for 27 years and had a career for 10 years not everything revolved around the 18th. Jonghyun lived a happy life with his boys, fans, friends and family Now enjoy our beautiful emotional dorky 5 angels.

shinee are the skinniest legends bro man every time I scroll down I see some smart or stupid comment! He was emotional and yes happy but that cry only wasn’t happiness he took the chance to also let out his pain and to show his friends that they are important to him. I know the difference between crying of happiness and crying of pain. Look at t he was crying cz he was happy and he is very emotional too but Jonghyun was crying Hard. I have depression and I cry like that I’ve done what he has done. I hide my pain but smile so I don’t let people down. He did the same because he was known for that. Yes he was happy but being a kpop idol isn’t easy especially when u can’t be yourself and I know what he meant read between the lines bro. Look his mannerisms the way he acted and then you’ll see what I mean. Korean boys are shy when it comes to touching girls hands. You can tel he felt comfortable! Do you know why? Figure it out it took me a while to realize what he meant and I feel so bad and sad that he did what he did but I’m happy if he is happy!

He was kinda awkward, yes. But he was never good at showing his emotions, unlike Key or Jonghyun. I'm sure he showed Jjong love in different ways.

Can I just say a few things about this one moment? Not only how beautiful it is, but how each member is to Jonghyun when he hugs them? I'll start with Key. When Jjong approached him like that, you could really feel how badly he wanted to comfort him. These two are the most emotional members of SHINee. When one cries, the other is sure to follow. How Key reacted to the situation wherein it was Jjong's turn to breakdown was no surprise. These two took the longest to break apart, almost not wanting to let go. Best friends, soulmates even. Then, the maknae. Taemin has admitted before that he has trouble expressing his emotions, his reaction was no surprise. He looked awkward but he didn't pull away or push Jjong away. He let him hold him and cry, smiling a little because he didn't really know what to do. Then the leader, gosh, my tears got worse when he went to hug Onew. Onew closed his eyes and hugged back, smiling reassuringly. He was used to Jjong's crying fits, but that doesn't make any new ones less deserving of comfort and reassurance that he's always going to be there for Jjong no matter what. Then last but certainly not least, Minho. He hugged his hyung so tightly, smiling as he did so. He enjoys being there for his members, being able to be their pillar whenever he can. I can't imagine the pain they are still feeling right now. As a fan, I wish I could make it go away. I want them to remember only happier times and never any bad. But, even if we can never heal the scar that runs so deep... We can at least lessen the bleeding. We love you boys! Stay strong always!

this is so heartbreaking to watch in retrospect. never followed the group's career but as a kpop fan and someone that has dealt with suicidal tendencies for many years now, stories like this always strike a chord. he loved his members and they loved him, even if you only ever saw this video that much is blatantly evident. i'm so glad they were all responsive to his emotions in this moment and didn't just brush him off like so many other young men would if they saw their friends expressing emotion. I really really hope he's at peace, he deserves it. the thoughts that push you to make a decision as finite as that one are all consuming and incredibly isolating... nobody deserves it.

Jonghyun is really a real life angel.. look at how much he love his family. We all can see his sincerity it's just sad that he's back where he came from but i know he's happy and he feel no more pain. I am very proud and happy to tell you guys that they are the reason why i am a kpop fan now ❤️❤️ I LOVE YOU JONG! ALWAYS AND FOREVER ❤️❤️

no that wasn’t the reason he was crying here :( it was always their dream to perform in tokyo dome and jonghyun has always been the type of person to let his emotions overtake him he’s just an emotional person and never tries to hide it. it was obvious here he was crying happy tears since he finally achieved his dream and was probably overwhelmed. please stop reducing his whole 27 years of living to the 18th i know it hurts and after all he’s my ult bias but his life was so much more than that and he wasn’t sad 24/7 :/ this is one of the many examples he was so happy but so many people reduced this special hug to him wanting to leave :(

These tears were happy tears. These were grateful tears. Jonghyun cried with all his heart for those awards SHINee won. I remember these moments when they happened years ago and you just knew Jonghyun would be the first to get super emotional on stage, especially when they won something. Jonghyun may have been suffering early on, but one thing's for sure, that stage is one of the places he was happiest.

Saddest video. So sad to watch now that we knew the meaning of his last emotional hug to all his dear friends. Love Jonghyun

Minho is such a good friend. All these comments about Jjong, but Minho deserves some love too. Even as Jonghyun is full out sobbing, he doesn't belittle him, doesn't brush off his crying, he simply goes to him and pats him on the back in support, and when it's his turn for a hug, he returns it sincerely. He is always so supportive of his members, going to their concerts, shows, etc. Jonghyun and Onew looked like they shared a hundred messages in their hug. Whatever they were thinking, they both were thinking the exact same thoughts.

ena Actually Kibum was the first one to cry in this vid, not Jonghyun. They all came around Kibum to hug and Jonghyun starts crying when he's hugging Kibum. So don't say that no one's saying anything about Kibum when the whole thing basically started because of him. This clearly shows how destroyed he was inside and held it up for too much time, the fact of breaking into tears to something simple is a sign that something is wrong with the person's emotional state ... suffering eventually led to numbness (the lethargic syndrome he claims) and naturally ended up in death (the decision to end his life). You can see how a simple hug can unmask the person's turbulent real state of mind, unfortunately no one noticed and he was too afraid to share it until it was too late. What a terrible loss of this young beautiful soul ... R.I.P. Kim Jong-Hyun

It's almost as if he knew that this would be the last time for him to hug them, to cry in their arms and show his love for them.... this just breaks my heart all over again. 💔

firstly want to say this is not their LAST HUG.. this is SHINee TOKYO DOME CONCERT 2015... and why they are crying especially Jonghyun this is translation his speech during this concert.. "we had a hard time preparing album.. we went through slumps. Seriously, the five of us had to believe in each other to get throught it" and asked " who would get loved this much? in regards to the love their fans give to them.. He also mentioned that he cries every time members give their "thankful" speeches during the encore.. All 5 of them repeatedly said that they missed fans so they worked so hard to make the album perfect.. They went through slumps yet held each other for strenght, looked at us (the fans) for inspiration and strived to meet the critics' expectations... Jonghyun also said that he was crying because it was difficult preparing the concert/ they worked really hard and it paid off.. he was so thankful and grateful..

As sweet as he wanted to cheer up Key and started crying himself 😢💕

I'm still so upset over Jonghyun's passing. It's so hard to watch footage of him and realise that he's gone. What adds to the heartache is people saying he gave up too soon. If you've ever suffered from depression or nursed someone who has, you'll know how absolutely debilitating a condition it is. It takes over your life, makes you see things differently to how you usually would, it even makes you push away the people who love you the most, for fear of bringing their mood down with your negativity. It's a cruel illness, and much more common than we think. Many people suffer in silence because they just don't think anyone would really care. There is a great video on here which helps outsiders to understand what it's like to live with depression. It was recommended to me when i suffered, two years ago. It's called "I had a black dog, his name was depression" and i would recommend anybody to watch it. I am sorry Jonghyun..it took me lot of time to know a beautiful soul like you..I found you only as angel..and I am really sorry o couldn't do anything.. I do t today I got very emotional..I saw many videos of SHINee and SHAWOLs..and the whole video I felt guilty, I never did anything officially to benefit them as a group..I feel like These people deserve so much more.. I always use to think, if I had to choose between SHINee and BTS, I would go for SHINee cause it was the first ever K-pop group I stanned, and 1st is always special..but today my heart clearly gave the reason and it is I LOVE SHINee, more than anyone else💙💙.

This is Tokyo dome concert back in 2015. Not there last concert. They had concerts in Tokyo dome itself after this one. That was shinee's dream come true. They waited for it for over six years. Minho even said that they have a new dream that is to go on together for years. A dream that is left unfulfilled.....

I really can't take seeing this and remembering how many pain there was in 2017. For some warmness. He's alright in a better place, and in our hearts.

Jonghyun was such a babie who needed everyone. The way he went to everyone and hugged them. My babie. I still can't believe he is not with us. I miss you angel

JongHyun was showing his love to his members and that's what members are for! They're always here for each other and JongHyun ended up crying himself while he was just trying to comfort KiBum. This is just too heartbreaking to see because deep inside he was in so much pain. JongHyun gave his members the comfort that he lacked himself. Sometimes what can be seen on the outside isn't always true on the inside. JongHyun may seem like a strong person but that wasn't really the real him. It must've felt so "Lonely" hiding his emotions in for so long. Even though he wasn't able to express his emotions in that aspect but he did SO WELL expressing his emotions deep down inside of him through the songs that he composed! We miss you JongHyun oppa!

Even though I didn’t stan ShiNee, I know that they’re great artists and even better human beings. It’s still sometimes hard to believe that Jonghyun’s gone. But he’s not truly gone. He lives in our memories and songs he’s made and sang as an idol. For us, he’ll always be there. Depression is a very difficult thing. We all wish that the results could’ve been something different, something better. I hope that ShiNee will not be remembered as the group which lost a member, but as a group with happy, meaningful memories like these. I hope we remember them as the great brothers they were, are and always will be and the great artists are who made amazing music and made us happy ❤️ #ShiNeeforever
