Jonathan Siegrist has spent his climbing life travelling the world, sending hard sport climbs, and he has become one of the worlds best, but has it time for Jonathan to settle down...in this film Jonathan and filmmaker Nate Liles explore the reasons why Jonathan has decided to spend so much of his time in Las Vegas...climbing at the local crags is certainly one of them...
Jonathan climbed the First Ascent 'Hundred Proof' in February 2020 and gave it a grade of 9a+. The route is situated in the Potosi Cave in Nevada near Las Vegas.

The slip of his foot at 8:10 on his second to last move with his mega runout gave it the 10/10 experience! Well done!
And to think that in the last La Sportiva commercial video, Jonathan's alleged weak point was steep climbs on big holds... *Goes and redpoints a sick 5.15 roof that seems to stretch forever* The man's a legend!
Really nice to see that appreciation for the work done by the setters. Topnotch Jonathan and of course Andy. People some times forget how much work goes into setting routes outdoors. Opening paths , clearing huge bushes to open a path, cleaning the routes. A lot of people end up with bad back injuries due to the hard work over the years. Setters are the reason most people are able to climb . Hats off to them

Oh yeah.
Really really love Jonathan's climbing style!
Glad to see guys up there wow know how to do things the right way. I battled with JB for years about how he was doing up there. Good job Andy and Jonathan. I'd like to go up there sometime with you guys. It's been maybe 10 years since I went up there. Dan Meyers told me about it back in around 1995. I knew it was going to be a great place in spite of what was going on there in the late 90s.
One of the best climbing footages ive ever seen.
dude, im pumped just watching this video.
What an incredible story!!!
Brilliant photography, thanks.
Thanks ! Great one !
Wow! I remember back in the 90’s how Potosi had a bad rep for being all chipped and drilled. Seems to ha e been reinvented. Beautiful!
What a lucky guy. Buying houses and climbing full time! Thanks for highlighting an amazing lifestyle, congratulations Jon!

Perfect climbing video! Bit of history, bit of personality, but mostly climbing!
What an amazing climb! EPIC!🤘❤🔥
epic and beautiful - thank you for sharing :)
Rad video! Glad to see J-star giving some love to local route developers!
Wow, amazing footage!
Lots of interest to watch, very nice footages.
Really beautiful shots!
Nice Filmmaking! I would have only wished for an other perspective at 5:20 and afterwards. Not the whole time, just some wide angle shots to show, where he is at at the route. Good job
The movie was a totl blast! I just loved it so much! the climbing looks so sick! The only thing that I cannot support here is where he lives... I mean come on, we are on the edge with our environment and people need to start realizing that those kind of cities just kill the planet. By no mean am I a hippy-dirt-whatever but Las Vegas.... As climbers, we need to do our part as well and because we love our nature so much, maybe could we start to thing about that. I am not speaking to people who cannot afford to move or who does not have choices but the others... =) Keep Crushing and climbing hard! ( sorry to bother you all with my little shout =))
Awsome!
So sick
wow mate this place looks awesome!!! an other place to visit in the future , check .
Great video. More jstar videos please!
glorious
Damn that was sick
A dream to be as good as these dudes, hopefully one day.
very nice rock !
wow.
Andy is a super rad man
Where is this?
first 9a+ ascent with figure 8 knot ?
That's an impressive display of stamina ! Moreover his style of climbing is rather slow, but he can really fight the pump !
There was a 1 minute trailer for a 9 minute video?

You don't watch 20 minute trailers for full length movies?
why do sport climbers stack quickdraws like that? 3 dogbones and 4 carabiners? seems like just adding more links to the safety chain? why not just use a shoulder sling to extend the bolts??? seems like the cheaper and safer option. not trying to hate, just genuinely curious. sick send, I know I'm nowhere near climbing 5.15 lmao

Because shoulder slings are floppy for clipping. Also, it is what they are likely to have on hand. If there is any difference in safety it is marginal.
amazing video, but may i recommend taking out the tea bag after one minutes of soaking, or you burn the zen-ess away from the herbs!!

Tea needs to steep for at least 5 minutes;-0
Senk You! Be careful!
Como llevas esas gafas muchacho...? Andy tienes que cambiar de peluquero
I wonder how he drilled in the bolts on the ceiling. Did he have to use a forklift or something
First thouht:" Is he going to climb his kitchen? "
"Silence" for humans
Raether looks like he got younger....wtf?
What this guy is eating for breakfast? I need to know it because I need to lift my car with one hand and change the tire with other one!
