British is what you call yourself when you don't want people to think you are English.😂

I check all the boxes. USA born and raised. Could my English heritage explain it?? My goodness.

Some of these VBP's are quite common in Belgium, too. Actually, most of them. I think the actual VBP might be that Brits think they're only ones who have these problems.

I feel so British , I have the same rules of educate and the same quirks. 🧐

Haha, I barely know who Corden is, but I am beginning to understand the comments! Bit of a bellend isn't he? And, let's face it, he has stiff competition in this line up!

My father , an Australian, was once "invited" to drop in on Tony Armstrong when in London. They were both photographers. He did, much to the consternation of the household of Princess Margaret.

Tony Armstrong was just a street photographer hustling on Portobello Road back in the 1960s. My boyfriend back then knew him vaguely.

It's quite strange. In this series James Corden actually doesn't seem like a massive tool. It's very disconcerting.

New a woman who would open the front door and stand by it with folded arms when she was done entertaining guests. If someone didn't get the hint, she'd start vacuuming

I am English but from a northern working class background. I dont recognise any of these supposed English traits. Where I come from people speak to each other on the street. They laugh and joke. The males especially are merciless in taking the micky out of their mates. But in London, not the poorer areas, they are standoffish. I once had carrier bag collapse while hurrying to an underground platform. Loads of people stopped and helped me collect my stuff. Then one lady turned back with a spare bag for me. It was only then I realised that moment, despite helping, not one person had spoken or even smiled. Just me saying thank yous. Up North there would have been jokes and laughs. I would have been teased but laughing as well.

I think i might be british

James Corden does look like the type of person that would lose his mind if you took some of his food without asking. I can't quite put my finger on why....

He is the odd one in these videos.

Having Prunella Scales do the narration made it a good start. Then she said pretty much logical things. Love being British in the USA. Makes life a real laugh. Only bad spot was having to see James Corden. What a jerk he is. Why can't he be exiled to Greenland?

Haha The English…don’t like small talk, until they’re being viewed chatting in an interview about not liking small talk.

As a USian from the South, I will definitely go Scarlett O'Hara on anyone who acts like Southerners are backward. I grew up in Florida: my natural accent is Michigan.

The Brits are absolutely determined to be miserable.

What a bunch of sorry whiners they are. I live in the Mid Atlantic region on the East Coast of the US. It's technically the South but it's not. They say we, in the Washington, DC area, are sort of like the New Yorkers but not as nice. When I got a new cell phone the phone number assigned to me belonged to someone from the real South (a John). I was getting calls for him for months. It never ended at just "sorry, wrong number". There always was a short very pleasant chat between two total strangers. People from the South are delightful.

🤔It’s interesting. I feel like the English “we don’t want to embarrass or offend anyone” only really pertains to other Brits. They have absolutely no problem offending people from other countries. 🫤
