joey tribbiani Me too! They opened the show with this song in Grand Rapids on September 8th (it was my birthday gift from my mom to see them. My mom is amazing💕) and I was standing there crying in the arena, because there I was seeing Jonas Brothers with my best friend forever & my cousin who would listen to them with me as kids and we’ve all grown up together. Opening the show with that song and looking over to see that my best forever is still my best friend forever and my cousin who’s my other best friend was there, too. Looking over seeing them standing right next to me and we got to experience that joy together, words cannot express how much that meant to me. My cousin & I were starting to become separated due to her growing up and becoming an adult. We didn’t have time to talk due to her job, etc. I really started to miss her. It was like we were kids again, screaming the lyrics together and dancing. It was beautiful. My cousin & BFF & I are in this together. We were all so obsessed with them. My BFF & I were obsessed with Nick & my cousin was obsessed with Joe. We’re all adults now (My cousin is 20, my bff is 22 & I’m 23 as of Sept 25th) so that line got me hard when they opened the show with this song. After the show we drove back home and my cousin was the first to be dropped off and as she was leaving she said “love you, guys!!”. She literally hadn’t said that in years. Jonas Brothers brought her & I back together and made the relationship with her and my BFF even stronger than it was before. Best birthday gift in all 23 years of my life. We all had a rough childhood and we were there for each other through it all, through bad breakups, heartache from past trauma, you name it. It was our rollercoaster, but I’d go back and ride with them all over again. “It was fun when we were young and now we’re older. We were up & down and barely made it over, but I’d go back and ride that rollercoaster with you”. This song is our song. ❤️

There are 2 reasons why I got emotional listening to this: 1) I just finished their documentary 2) I thought about my siblings & how much I miss them

I love this song so much but it makes me tear up and want to go back to that time we were younger! When I first heard this song, it made me miss them so bad and the happiness that their music has brought me through those growing up years. After seeing Chasing Happiness, the song made me really cry as the story and meaning of the song is truely about their life, hardwork, struggles and the happiness they shared before together that they also shared to us their fans.
