I’ve been saying this since I was a teenager(Nicks age) & remember being so upset about it at the time. With songs like ‘Take a breath’ from the self entitled album. Their lyrics had so much depth. However, people looked at them as kids & just shrugged them aside because they were with Disney.

If I had a nickel for every time the Jonas Brothers were compared to a Post Hardcore band, I'd have two nickels. It isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice (Dance Gavin Dance was the first comparison if you're curious).

Nope. Their new stuff is great, but I prefer their pop rock sound, too. :) The fact that this is the JB I grew up with might have something to do with it, as well.

Such a throwback. Nick's solo. The minute many of fell in love with his voice. These three have been full of talent since the start.

theawfulthings their influences were those bands. Much of their early work was the punk genre. When Disney came around, their music evolved into pop rock. I developed a following before Disney came around. Had to hide my fandom, but was proud of them.

Dos locos con violas re sarpadas, la gibson y una SG (tremendas guitarras), BRUTAL. Después aparece un loco con un micrófono con smokin. TREMENDO. Encima el smokin tiene pins. UNA LOCURA. Estaban bien vestidos y la música sonaba re potente, y cuando empezaban a tocar se iba a la basura la habitación donde estaban tocando ME VOEEEEEELVO LOCOOOOOOO. VIEJA COMPRAME LE CD DE LOS JONAS BROTHERS QUE QUIERO PONERME A ESCUCHAR HOLD ON TODA LA VIDA. Y así me compraron el disco este de los jonas. Ahora escucho otras cosas (Akercocke, Lost--prohets, Nirvana, Opeth, Breaking Benjamin..). Mi primer acercamiento con el rock y el heavy metal, jamás me lo voy a olvidar.

It's been 10 years since I discovered the Jonas Brothers, and I'm still mesmerized by Joe's stage presence. He was always the best performer of the group in my opinion.

I remember i was OBSESSED with jb! Then i started listening to punk rock and heavy metal xD btw I'm 17 now,and sometimes i don't mind listening to them (Sorry for my bad English)

Oh my God I'm the same and I'm 18 now. I used to love them so much and I was a killer for Joe. But then I started getting into My Chemical Romance in middle school and things went metal-first from there.
