Poor guy.... all he’s known through his entire life was abandonment and abuse especially at the hands of evil, no wonder he’s been a lone drifter his whole life, as people and society have failed him time and again when all he wanted was acceptance. And yet.... he’s still manages to defend others against evil, despite nobody had saved him from his tormentors and he still goes out of his way to defend those in need. Sometimes you have to step outside society’s apathy and it’s corrupt limits that protects criminals and you have to bravely seek justice yourself and be that concealed outside force for good, as fear only helps oppress evil power in it’s actions, and you can be the light that shines down and reveals evil’s corruption concealed in the darkness.

The fact that Jonahs mom left him by himself with his abusive dad pisses me off and shows that she most likely only cared about herself when she told her husband to leave and not come back until he's sober

Jonah is obscure no doubt but that obscurity has saved him from either over use (like Batman or Joker) or character assassination/mishandling like so many other characters from comics. Jonah had his story, he lived his life and it ended (somewhat) after he canonically died.

In every comic book issue of Jonah hex there's no supernatural or magic thats why Jonah hex movie starting Josh brolin was shitting because of that, if they ever do a reboot movie of Jonah hex(which they should by the way), then the Jonah hex movie has be like classical country western movie it'll be a version of Clint Eastwood and John Wayne, or the style of Quentin Tarantino, even though it's DC but still you don't want to disappoint the fans, they want a cowboy western movie of Jonah hex rated r

I watched the cinematic version and it really leaves you wondering about this character having a Confederacy origin. His wife that is murdered does look like she might have been native American but it's not exactly spelled out. The timing of it is probably what makes it all seem strange. This answers a big question but it also leaves a REALLY large gap. J.Hex goes from betrayed by a tribe member to being adopted (I guess?) Frontiersman to...joining the Confederacy? Can someone fill in THAT nutty gap to me? If someone has a link to a more complete history of the character. He's interesting and new to me.
