ABOUT SUPERSTORE
America Ferrera and Ben Feldman star in the hilarious workplace comedy "Superstore," about a unique family of employees at a supersized megastore. "Superstore" centers around Amy (Ferrera), who recently was promoted to be the store manager and is the glue holding the place together, and Jonah (Feldman), a dreamer determined to prove work doesn't have to be boring. Their fellow associates include the sardonic Garrett (Colton Dunn), the sweet and clueless Cheyenne (Nichole Bloom), and the perpetually dismissed Sandra (Kaliko Kauahi). Also on the team are Glenn (Mark McKinney), who stepped down as manager in an attempt to have more family time, and Dina (Lauren Ash), the aggressive assistant manager who enforces Cloud 9 policy with an iron fist. Mateo (Nico Santos) was also part of the team, most recently as the self-promoted floor supervisor, until being detained due to his undocumented status.
Superstore is available now on Peacock, the new streaming service from NBCUniversal. Watch thousands of hours of hit movies and shows, plus daily news, sports, and pop culture updates. Stream now on Peacock.

    I love how this show subverts the dashing male archetype. While Jonah is indeed handsome, smart and well intended, he's also incredibly naive and pretentious which makes him perfectly balanced imo. As Glen would say, "Who doesn't fall in love with Jonah? So Gorgeous".

  • @churrothiev8387

    @churrothiev8387

    Naive yes, but he's not pretentious. He truly believes in his heart of heart of his causes and reasoning. Others think he's pretentious because frankly I think others are emotional cowards: they are very afraid of discussing uncomfortable issues. He's not. So he's naive and brave. This constant showcasing of him being "annoying" is a way to give an imperfection. It's purposeful, because a bit of imperfection is attractive

    @@churrothiev8387 His imperfections are annoying, he is the "white male feminist" archetype that most minorities can't stand. He's naive because his ideologies is so text book and out of touch. He may be "comfortable" talking about topics like that because it's theoretical and has no bearing or existence in his life. He has even mentioned he's never lost anyone. It's a totally different mindset and ball game for those who have. It's nothing "courageous" or "cowardly" about people these topics actually effect. It's easy to be so called "brave" when you have no horse in the race.

    @@GoddessLuna23 it’s not that deep. I agree with the person you responded to. I like that they didn’t try to make him perfect. He had flaws just like every other character, but all in all he was a good guy and always meant well.

    @@churrothiev8387 i think he is pretentious and that’s okay i mean it’s the liking jazz but ambivalent about dogs, the refusal to serve guns even though that was his job because he’s grown up in an environment where he has that right to refuse and not take orders, also the costumes and sending them articles. But it’s not a hatable thing it’s just irritating which just makes it an imperfection so we like jonah more bc of it esp bc he apologises quickly when its really a problem unlike the other characters
