@the comment about redflesh. Regarding the ones sold as LucyGlo, the batch I bought more than a year ago were hit or miss, several were okay but missing flavors, the red ones usually really good when not mealy. But this year I found them at two stores. The same still had the same smaller ones and they improved from the year before in quality but the other store offered very large ones that were mostly flavorful. Just Brilliant apples I craved every day, just a small percentage missing some flavor... If I knew the tree, the climate and had room for only one... it would be that one, a large flavorful berry flavored apple sort of like fruit punch and berry salad... mostly consistent but also I haven't tried Rubaiyat yet

Very inspiriating video as allways. :) Did you usually make an apple spirit from your apples? (calvados)

Do you happen to know the variety of the grapes from the end of the video? I'm new to growing grapes and was told Himrod are a great variety to grow in the pacific northwest so I planted a vine (along with with a Suffolk) Curious if you have experience with those varieties.

They were not ideal size because I didn’t thin that year. But some individual fruits were pretty big

Hello Nick I am wondering, is odysso better tasting than rubyiat?

I would have to compare them side by side. I might do that this coming season. Rubiyat is larger and has green leaves instead of red leaves like odysso. Both tasted pretty good. I think odysso had better texture if I recall correctly.
