Right? The reference always goes over everyone's head. I heard a similar one somewhere else 2 weeks ago and it was the same thing - im there like "ohhhh, that's a clever one, very good" and everyone else reacts like its a normal statement. Oh yes...I had a 7th grade math teacher that pronounced calculator as chalculator. My 7th grade English teacher would say "um k" after nearly every sentence, too. It was a weird year for teachers! I didn't remember what they said more because of it. I just found it really annoying.

I agree, titles of videos should be verbatim transcripts of the entire 10 and a half minute video.

7:30 with the idea of honeymoon, not even close. The word had been around centuries before they even thought of drinking mead after marriage. Originally honeymoon was linked to comparing marriage to the states of the moon, how new marriage is bright and full and then fades over time. Someone quoted that the first month when its sweet and lovely, around the 15th century or something, Richard Huloet.

That was the most legitimate stein I've ever seen not up. Great title

The title of the video actually questions the fact if you should call it that. That was the whole bit which made it funny. The fact he didn't but it took 3 times and the audience got to their crescendo way too soon the first try. Did you not watch the video or something?

That isn't a stein. A stein is made of pottery/stone. It's right there in the name. Stein means stone. That is a maßkrug. Because it's a krug (which is a mug), and it holds a maß (1 litre) of beer. Hence, maßkrug.

I've noticed that in english the English shorthand their vocabulary to a degree by degree of location. As an American, Florida, I find myself repeating certain scenes, often to better appreciate the guile.

That's not a Stein. That's a Maß. A stein is literally made from stone, that's where the name comes from. They are usually 0,5l or aprox. A pint. The Maß is 1 liter.
