How did this American become as such decent character? Would be so proud for our elected representative to be so articulate. Maybe they should take lessons.

The richest nation that said "All Men are created equal" is struggling to increase the minimum wage for the last 50 years!! Imagine our plight. We(India)said "All creatures are created equal" millenia back!!. How come we could live with such a grand statement/ideal!!! We were smart enough to invent a solution that cost nothing to none!Nirvana/Enlightenment! No wonder Jainism that first subscribed to "All creatures created equal" is believed to be the oldest religion!! Because "Nirvana" was the only way the human mind could live with such an extravagant ideal! "Nirvana" had to follow "All creatures are created equal"!! What Nirvana is literally death!! The death of the mind!! Either you live your grand equality ideal or you kill your mind!! Now all those neglected/angered creatures have been biting our back for so long that we are full of ass-holes!!!(Pun intended) Hipocrisy is a cheaper solution than Nirvana!! Well, that is a different arena altogether!!! It is described in such glorious terms as "art of power" , statesman politics, etc.,This is not a sarcasm but the helplessness/frustration in the face of this enormous beast called "Life"!!! Ignorance is bliss!! Unfortunately it is not a choice!!!

Statistics are clear: immigration has helped to lower wages. Although not the only reason for stagnant wage growth, increase suicide, opioid use, lower longevity generally, increased poverty, and the hollowing out of manufacturing, it is better to blame immigration from his vantage point than for the majority of Americans to blame his economic class who are the real culprits.

Some of this falls on the lack of Unions. Some of that falls on us workers.

Ben Bradley's actual saying was that he tried to provide the "best available version of the truth," a statement based on a gray-scale view of the world that mr. Meacham doesn't share. This is history as sort of a woke comedy skit.

The “soul of America” went out the window Nov 16. Everything since is just thrashing. Meacham does a nice job providing hope through historical examples, however, history is not a road map. Times are vastly different. At least he makes a ton of cash selling his schtick.
