I think some people forget Jon Jones is a student of the game first. He has more than enough time to study Ngannous fighting style and strategize for it. It’s no secret Jones has never fought someone like Ngannou who is built like a tank, has immeasurable power but is terrifyingly patient in the octagon and can also grapple, with that being said Jones is an athletic phenom and so freakishly built with that size and reach it’s safe to say Ngannou has never fought anyone like Jones either. It’s a freaking wild card!

Theres always the chance that Ngannou’s KO will send Jones to heaven, but I think it’s more likely that Jones will adapt and pick Francis apart. Both are amazing fighters with great stories and I can’t wait to see this happen!

If anything, for the criteria I previously mentioned it's a bit underpriced(though I doubt you've actually encoded anything I've said given your response). Literally look at what happened with Stipe. He had an amazing legacy with tons of victories over all time greats. And even though he had already beaten Ngannou, and was well past his prime being a shell of his former self when he lost in the second fight his legacy took a massive hit and people swept him under the rug to be relegated as a stepping stone for Ngannou's legacy. Use some basic reasoning if you have any to view one's perspective as to why he is making the decision. The most ironic part is the delusion of the people denouncing Jones as no matter what he did it would be a losing effort and simply him being scared/timid of a fight.

@nobody Missing the point. The high asking price isn't about the logistics but instead the bare minimum Jones is willing to take to risk his legacy with relatively poor reward for if he wins. How many more people would be convinced he's the best all time or overall that much better of him if he won? Not nearly enough. Especially considering the potential physical damage he could potentially suffer. Also it isn't entirely true his ppv's are poor. Even Connor, the biggest name in the sport ever has drastic differences in buys in relativity to who he fights. Jones would easily be pulling in 10x what him vs. Thiago SIlva or other low profile names he's fought in recent years.

"I just gotta get through round one. And I win that fight." It's scary that going past round one without getting knocked out with Francis Nganou is just like a monumental achievement. I don't even feel safe.

Francis' specialty is those powerful hooks. The most powerful hook in UFC heavyweight right now. However, that might also be his possible weakness. Because he used and gave everything in first minutes. We have never seen how he went distance after those power hook. On the other side, Jones is a technical fighter. His plan is always the same when he meets his bigger threat opponent. He will let you eat at the first round, he will read and scan your move. Then he will find a way to use all his weapons. (May be including eyepoke :p, don't mention it, I know) But he might be getting slower too because of changing weight. So, this will be one of the biggest and interesting fight I would say. Will Jones get away from those powerful hooks or will Francis keep his gas till the end and get away from those weapons? I am very excited for this match.

Cyril Gane is the next fighter in line to fight Francis NGannou. They were sparring partners in Paris and had the same coach, Fernand Lopez. This is the fight I look forward to watching, as I don't know who will win. They're both exceptional fighters with unique backgrounds.... But I've always been a fan of Jon Jones, and would to see him fight in the HW division against Francis, Ciryl or whoever holds the title by the time JJ is ready for HW championship....

This will be the perfect Skill vs Strength and power matchup. 2 generational talents battling it out. 🔥🔥🔥

Jones is a phenom but the time away from the game, the additional weight, I can see him getting KO'd in the first 3 minutes. Can his lanky legs and finger-pocking stretched-out-arm control distance against Francis? Hard to tell, as that can be a great opportunity for FN to take JJ down and yes I believe he can take him down. FN gets dramatically better every year, like no other fighter I have ever seen, they guy improves sooooo fast (Stipe 2 is a masterpiece win Ground and Standing). I'm 50/50 on this one.

A lot of people have to realize including Jon Francis has as much power in a tab than the people Jon have fought if he even gets grazed with a jab he is going to be hurt

I would say rn Jon wins because of experience and fight IQ, but the longer he waits the better Francis will get considering he has pros in corner now. When Francis came into the ufc he even admitted he was clueless relying on his boxing and ko power which was stopped by Stipe in the first fight, but after that he got real help his improvement was scary af. But taking in the fact with Dana this fight won’t happen for another 2 years.
