This album is definitely a calmer when the mind wages war.

This song has enormous sentiment to my fiancé and I. Our story is SO much like this song. -We dated from sophomore year of highschool until senior year of highschool -He moved to Nashville for college -We broke up for around 2 years -God transformed our hearts during that time and we got back together the summer before junior year of college -We fell in love long distance the second time around -We're getting married June 2017 and want to include Inheritance in our wedding :)

Chrissie Hi ihope you would be able to read this. we somehow have a similar story. I met my fiancé back in college. Our love for Switchfoot was our bridge. - we were together for 5 years until we separated mid 2014. - we got back together 2016. News of her going abroad brought me back to her. She still had to leave though. - Decemeber 2017 she went home for vacation. I proposed. she said yes. Now we're getting married Feb 2018. Their songs were our anchor when we were in the darkest part of our relationship. They were singing about faith, hope and love in general. We're adding this to our wedding songs as well, along with I wont let you go and If the house burns down tonight. Thank you for sharing you story here. This is such a sweet song, but your story here brought tears to my eyes. I pray that your love is as fresh and wonderful now, after 3 1/2 years of marriage, as it was when you wrote this. My wife's and my story has some parallels, but the upshot is that we celebrated 27 years this past August. Blessings on you and your husband!

Discovered this song sometime last year and I always come back to it... praying for such a pure and beautiful love as "Inheritance" describes. If ever I get married, God willing, I can't wait to sing this with that special man thirty years on!
