    Its a trip that i fell in love with The Jon Bon Jovi band in 1984 when Runaway came out and now here i am, still listening to all his music. Most of my playlist is Bon Jovi. When my daughter was a baby she rarely slept. Id have to put her in the car and play Wanted. She'd calm down enough to fall asleep. Its still our favorite song. I still feel butterflies when certain songs come on. Thank you Jon (and) Richie for being music to my life, dark, happiness and everything else❤

    I guess I’ve been a fan of Bon Jovi for so long that I immediately thought the title of the docuseries was about thanking fans. I never thought it was about Bon Jovi ending. These guys always do such a good job of acknowledging their fans. So, I figured the title was in reference to thanking fans. Of course, that is what Jon is saying.

    My first concert ever was Bon Jovi opened for the 🦂 Scorpions 1983 Sacramento California. I was a sophomore in high school. I also seen Jovi in Nuremberg Germany early 2000sand on his crush tour. Close to 100.000 people were at that out door show.

    14:42 "And then when we went to rehearsal with the band and Hugh came up with that great baseline..." Nobody paid attention to this but Jon said Hugh McDonald (not Alec John Such, the oficial bass player from 1983 to 1994). Hugh McDonald said once in his website he had recorded the bass in ALL Bon Jovi records since 1983, and then erased the post. Now, we have the confirmation from Jon. He said in a very natural way and didn`t even realize... It`s obvious now, that Alec was just a touring bassist, not someone who can record and compose songs.

    5:16 I like Jon and the band's music, but "Legendary" is blowing up? Big big? Worldwide? I think he's exaggerating on this one. I mean, it's doing well on the AC charts, but not even better than "Limitless". I think the tune is okay, but generic like the singles from their previous albums in the last decade. I doubt anyone would go to a Bon Jovi concert in 10 years and think "OMG, I hope they play Legendary".

    Never a fan. Heard from people who know him , super arrogant. Always finds a way to compliment himself. Hasn’t been able to sing for 10 years. Conveniently we hear about a vocal cord surgery as their documentary comes out. Always has an angle

    A major surgery is “convenient”? Jesus, give me a break. Plenty of people don’t get a diagnosis or treatment for a condition until much later when the issue is properly diagnosed. Yes, some fans paint Jon as akin to the second coming, but he’s hardly shown himself to be a horrible person.

  • @gerrycollins6519

    @gerrycollins6519

    First off vocal surgery is very common. And if you do a bit of research, you will see countless articles from various people explaining how he is an arrogant, pompous person. Many an affair on his wife , tried acting , several actors have told stories about the way he treated the crew. Lots of musicians, actors, athletes are self absorbed, they let the fame and the way people look up to them go to their head . Also the members of the band are just employees, he’s made the pretty clear several times. Nothing speaks to him being a good person. His philanthropic work is clearly for write off purposes for his tax bracket. Take a little time and look into all this , be curious if you still feel the same way

  • @OfficialAshArcher

    @OfficialAshArcher

    3 ай бұрын

    @@gerrycollins6519 1. it is common, but a vocal cord atrophy is not necessarily as common and can vary in severity. I’m a singer/vocal coach so I’m not completely ignorant. 2. Had a look into the allegations you presented and a lot of it seems to be based on rumours personal grudges and opinions rather than something that has been proven. I’m not saying that they’re all unsubstantiated but people tend to expect celebrities to always act perfect, and that’s unrealistic. Even celebrities have bad days, or don’t get along with everyone they meet. I can’t find anything that proves he cheated on his wife while they were together, smells like more rumours 3. Just like Hayley Williams of Paramore, he’s the only one signed and they work as sub-contractors. Big deal, they’d leave if they weren’t happy, just because you don’t like it, doesn’t mean it’s wrong. All of what you’ve said comes down to personal opinions of character. I don’t think he’s a flawless man, but I see nothing here that makes me think he’s a bad person or worth scorn. The amount he’s done for philanthropy, the time he’s taken for fans in the past despite saying a couple of times he’s more introverted by nature, the amount of credit he’s given the people around him in interviews for his success, the support he’s shown X with the Drills, or David Bryan in his theatre career, writing to the hall of fame to induct Hugh as well… well, I respect that. It’s fine if you don’t see the same way, we can agree to disagree.
