Try respect and admiration. Love should be reserved for in-person, real relationships. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Jon Batiste is an incredibly talented artist and inspirational human being. His honest humility and joy seem to be paramount gifts. I endeavor to follow his example and hope you will as well.

Jon Batiste is an exceptional human being. His relationship with his piano makes me feel like I’m watching two best friends laughing, horsing around, crying, or just enjoying the view together. And I feel privileged to be able to witness their love for each other.

I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do. They're really saying I love you. I hear babies crying, I watch them grow. They'll learn much more than I'll ever know. I really love this depiction of nuns, because it's more true to what I remember from my great aunt. She was so open and loving. And though she was too old for basketball, we'd always play board games or she'd tell us stories about her mission trips to South America. She was so happy when my cousins and I started taking Spanish because she spoke it fluently.

Yes. The profundity of Jon Batiste's soul is an idyllic river that flows through his voice; what he puts out into the Universe is a sort of nutriment for our collective humanity. When he sings, I feel my body saturate with light, my mind becomes hushed, and all that is left for me to do is listen with every reverential part of me.

This song has always been one of my favorites, and this interpretation of it is neck and neck with Louis Armstrong's in my book. What a wonderful world it is

Oh. My. I have heard Jon's exquisite interpretation of this music before, but the ..."video" implies a separation that Jon's music doesn't allow 💜 The befriending of these lovely women while making sure they have the greatest possible space to express their beauty and humanity is VITAL. I am crying. This is why I think our species has a chance.
