Hi, Stephen! All roads lead to Rome... I searched for Jon Batiste at the New Orleans Jazz Fest 2022 but was presented with these performances. Man, I don't care what brought anyone to him. He's such a talent and frankly a genius... and a sweet, sweet human being!

Batiste is an American treasure. His knowledge of jazz history is profound, his composition skills extraordinary and his ability to play the music is out of this world. Stephen Colbert has made the best possible selection for the Late Show.

I agree. I think the Late Show has been Batiste's plataform to reach a wider audience, but he has been on the the radar for those in the know for quite a while!

Totally agree; I have never heard of him. He is amazing I don’t even watch the Grammy; came across him when I turned on the TV and he was on. And the rest is history

Drum solos have never been my thing, BUT, Joseph Saylor's solo was more than impressive.

Totally agree; he's a great example of how a drummer can literally make so many sounds and signature changes and be riveting to watch.
