He can really play piano very well! He has full control over the instrument and yet, chooses, not to control it, but to allow it to be an extension of his expression. You can hear it in the timings and small changes in volume.

I miss seeing Jon Batiste on Stephen Colbert's show, but it's good he seems to be doing well and creating cool things. I got tickets to one of the stops for Jon Batiste's tour next year, and I'm so excited! His music is fantastic! So unique and genuine. We Are is incredible, and so is World Music Radio. I have yet to see American Symphony, but I plan to watch it soon.

thank you for this...it is such a shame that the grammy's pulled the actual recorded performance (it was put on a youtube site and then pulled shortly after for 'copyright' isues..whatever!)....this is such a needed tonic for our hearts and minds in these troubling times we're all in.

I loved him the first time I saw him, the energy just does it for me lol

I love this guy to pieces. He's a freaking genius. And we now live here in the French Quarter, so music is all around us. Great Grammy moment Hey, I get it: because of the size of the room, you could not do anything about the ambient sound being more hollow than, say - a cozier, smaller studio recording. But the joy?
