I didn't check the inside of this hotel, but you are right. The location is good, and the price is 817 baht per night on booking com today.

Due to the Beach Road diversion, is it the same direction waiting point for Baht bus going to South Pattaya now?

From starting point in Najomtien to Thanon Chaiyaphruek (near soin14/1), Beach road is bidirectional same like before. Baht buses tuning right on Thanon Chaiyaphruek to Jomtien Second Road and continue in Jomtien Second Road and Thappraya Road to Pattaya. If you stay in between Jomtien Soi 1 to Soi 14/1, you have to wait on Jomtien Second Road for Baht Bus for going to Pattaya.

Guess I've overindulged in Thai video reporting; too many walking tours that are all mostly the same and all evoking the same feelings; similar with cycle tours: seen it often enough that it's pretty dull and boring. No offense--just an honest reaction. Plenty of folk seem to like the repetition.
