[Jomon production] Making the national treasure clay figurine “Masked Goddess” Masked clay figurine

We made a video of the process of making a clay figurine, using the national treasure clay figurine (commonly known as the "Masked Goddess'') excavated at the Nakathara Ruins in Chino City, Nagano Prefecture as a reference.
It's a lot of fun to knead and shape clay while thinking back to the Jomon period.
This time it is molded with clay.
The video is a bit long, but please watch it slowly if you like.

In the first place, due to the lack of technology (;'∀'), it is difficult to make items that look exactly like the original excavated items. However, while creating imitations, I aim to create pottery and clay figurines that allow you to feel even just a little bit of the beauty of the original.

週末縄文人さん達の動画拝見してます。粘土を採取してこねあげるところからの様子を見ると自分の現代人工作がお恥ずかしいです😅 でも物作りの(苦労も含めた)楽しさはいつの時代も同じなのかもしれないですね。

@@studiogj8888 ご存じでしたか。 土器があんなに難しいとは知りませんでした。 確かに現代知識で成功してしまっては、彼らの目的から外れてしまうのかもしれませんね。

@@user-tk1sy5lr6j 私もできる限り縄文時代と同じ様に作ってみたいですが、粘土採取や野焼きはチャンスがないとなかなかハードルが高いです。 製作が長期になるときは乾燥しないようにビニール袋被せたりしてますから～(笑) でも、土器造りの基本技術は5000年間ほぼ変わらないと言えると思います♪
