Harley Quinn first appeared in "Batman The Animated Series" in the early 90s, which I HIGHLY recommend watching. Dare i say, it has THE BEST JOKER EVER. Anyway, she was supposed to be his psychiatrist and he manipulated her into falling in love with him. I don't know why they changed that in this movie. Sadly, the actress who was the original voice of Harley, Arleen Sorkin, passed away last year. On a completely unrelated topic, "Folie a Deux" the title of one of my favorite "X-Files" episodes. It's very creepy and worth checking out.

Ever since I'd read that this movie was going to be a musical, I've been skeptical as Hell about it, & have been wondering if it might not be end up a disaster of Showgirls-like proportions. But there are a few factors: With credits in films like Signs, Gladiator, & Walk The Line, you can't really underestimate an actor the caliber of Joaquin Phoenix at this point. & if her work in A Star Is Born is any indication, Lady Gaga has some acting chops too. In the end, its this recent trailer that's persuading me to give it a chance. So I'm a bit more optimistic now.

Sooo there is a song from Fall Out Boys called "America's Suitehearts". The music video was them being circus characters, and there's a guy who fell into a green goo which then turned him to a crazy clown type circus master. Then a girl watching him, who I guess kinda liked him, followed him to the circus and also fell into the goo. They then became sort of partners, that were crazy together. It's very similar to a Joker and Harley Quinn love story. Coincidence?? And get this, the song "America's Suitehearts" was from Fall Out Boy's album called FOLIE á DEUX...

Hey Vanessa "What the World needs now is Love sweet Love" 🤡 ☂️🏙️ Has it really been 5 years , like Phillips the director said , we didn't want to jinx the original. It's a bold move & might divide fans but it makes sense , this Joker's more graceful with music in him. I liked them dancing among the rooftops with the magical lighting , who can tell what's imaginery or not. From what little we know they'll be around 15 covers based on old show tunes like that's entertainment & throwing something original in , there's a nod to the Umbrellas of Cherbourg. How's there Romance going to be received , feeling torn I'm guessing depending on how violent it goes. It's the Joker originally that kinda has a hold over Harley but it looks like she's manipulating him , typical of modern Hollywood. it's cool setting it in the 80s. I'm a fan of Joaquin phoenix work so I do want to give it a chance that it will set the box office on fire. Season 5 of Harley Quinn Animi out during the summer.
