I realized why this song hit me so hard, it reminds me of all of the difficulties and the times I felt trapped during COVID in Canada while being unvaxxed. I was fired from my job, banned from social meida, and banned from the gym and the pubs, basically all public spaces for 8+ months. Things were SO rough, I had to lie to myself to many times to say it's alright, I did see it coming at me, and in 2023 I wake up each and EVERY single day thankful that my entire family and I made it through the other side unvaxxed, but the entire time I felt like we were being chased by some demonic force. Crazy good song Chewiecatt, you and TryHardNinja and The Stupendium should have won some awards by now, your songs and videos are better than the stuff I hear on the radio and see in the mainstream. Amazing work, I don't expect you to have read this novel. :)

I was in the same boat for a little while as you, my friend… I managed to get across the border to America and stay there for the duration of the worst lockdowns, though. Trying to move to the USA now, since I assume they’ll try and lock us up again at some point - I’d try the same if I were you. (:

@@sophiapotato.totallyreal.2354 Good luck friend, sometimes when I listen to music I re-live the trauma of being locked out of society for so long, especially being that going to the gym and having a pint of beer and a chat with strangers has always been a huge part of my life. Crazy how music can help recall memories but also allow you to let them good. Very theraputic music floating around the FNAF / KZread horror genre, as so much of it revolves around being manipulated to do things based on fear and control, the dream of escape. Meanwhile, when I was growing up, the horror genre was all in film, like Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Halloween... and so much of those focused on teen promiscuity leading to getting murdered haha, basically, anyways. Good luck friend, COVID f-'ed my life up, not the virus, the societal reaction to it, and I'm finally getting back to "normal". Hope the government doesn't have another card to pull from their sleeve again soon...

I must say… of all the horror songs, this really stands out! It’s relaxing, almost celebratory in tone from the monsters’ perspective, while having an undertone of dread, very well done and the use of footage (with certain lyrics) are time rather well and adds to the aforementioned tones I mentioned.
