Another piece of relevant information is that the author had relations with a dolphin... Knowing this, nothing seems strange in this show.

Basically, each season (called "Part") has a different protagonist, and all these protagonists are "Jojos", because of their names and because they're all part of the Joestar family bloodline: Part 1: Jonathan Joestar Part 2: Joseph Joestar (Beard guy) Part 3: Jotaro Kujo (but since he's Japanese, in the Japanese language, his name is said like "Ku*jo* *Jo*taro") Part 4: Josuke Higashikata (in his case, it's because his name is written "仗助" (Jo-suke), and the symbol for the "suke" in his name can be also read as "jo". So his name can be read as "Jojo") Part 5: Giorno Giovanna (GioGio, which is pronounced "Jojo) Part 6: Jolyne Kujo (same reason as Jotaro) Also, every member of the Joestar family bloodline has a star-shaped birthmark on them

So JoJo is the story of the Jostar family and chronicles it's generational battle with evil. So every time you see that somebody changed, it's because it's a different person. The anime doesn't have just 1 protagonist. Every generation has it's own JoJo. They're all called that for some reason.

I love how Jotaro (who Ben officially named as the one and only "Jojo") appeared multiple times in the 10th opening and he just did not absolutely notice

You had the most wild guess and I found that super hilarious. Every season (we call them parts) the main protagonist and their group changes because it follows a family blood line, some characters will reappear like the guy with the hat, and sometimes won't show up at all. You wouldn't get much story from the ops because they're not connected together but the nuance is there I would LOVE to see your reaction on the JoJo's main character themes

Not sure if you still read these rn, but just a heads up, one of the reasons why some of the visuals look super smooth and sometimes hurting your eyes is because of the 60fps title in the vids. They are -interpolated- (using ai) to artificially make them 60fps smooth from 24 fps which then makes them appear mushy and weird. I personally recommend looking out for openings and ending without the 60fps titles to get some proper visuals as the animators intended, though it keeps getting harder to find non 60fps opening vids in yt so...

The reason why animation production company was particular about sound effects... The onomatopoeia as a written word used in the original manga is very unique and rare for Japanese, and it is one of the representative of the many charms of this work.

You noticed a lot more than I expected you to. I think the thing that makes it tricky to understand is that each part of JoJo is centered around a different person of the family with the same nickname of JoJo, that's why some characters don't reappear or can be confused as another character. Like how the blonde guy in the first opening was confused (understandably so) as the blonde guy in the second opening. Also why the blue/purple haired guy was confused as the brown haired guy in opening two. They are both different people but are both called JoJo. Each part has its own villain, except for parts 1 and 3. (Intro 1 is part 1 and intro's 3 and 4 are part 3) In the opening 5, you can see two different JoJo's that are present at the same time. This is also shown in openings 6, 7, 10 and 11. (Upon finishing the video i realised that you did not watch openings 10 v2 or 11 (v1 or v2)) Most characters are part exclusive or die and don't reappear, which is why some characters may appear to be drastically changed versions of someone you saw in a past intro when in fact they are different people, and not an evolved character. Usually the intro changes theme when it is a new part of the anime, hence why the 5th intro was so different to the 4th. Although, the 6th intro is very different to the 5th as a major storyline event occurs and changes the theme and atmosphere of the entire part, hence the different theme. When you watched intro 3, you absolutely nailed it when you referred to the spirit as a spirit. After the third intro, or part 3, a different power system is introduced to the JoJo universe. This power is called a stand. They are spiritual manifestations of a persons soul. The "Knight Guy" was a stand manifested by the flat top guy and therefore not a different character. This is easy to misunderstand. There is only one shapeshifter I know of, and the other people's stands can sometimes be shown to morph into the person's shape, such as like how they did in intro 6. They are not shapeshifters. There is also a mistake with many people missing out the second version of opening 6, which is a very subtle change. It only colours in a character that is a silhouette before the change. Each JoJo is featured in their part, sometimes moving into another part too. The guy whose stand looks like a robot is the JoJo of part four and that is why he is the main subject of openings 5 through 7. Usually each arc gets its own intro, hence most of the parts having multiple intros. I began writing this around opening 4, and now that i have finished the video i see that you did eventually get that each part has its own protagonist, with each protagonist being nicknamed JoJo. Hopefully this helps you to understand everything better.

im currently watching him react to chase, now im going to predict he calls giorno the same jojo but different hair, and he wont notice that the protagonist changes until jolyne edit: I WAS HALF RIGHT, HE FINALLY GETS IT

❤️🔥🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️ Seems like they added way too many versions in this video lol. Like sound effects. The good changes are ones that are really different due to plot changes and villain involvement. So don’t feel bad if you didn’t see much change because in truth nothing much was changed sometimes. But Stone Ocean one has a second opening with 2 versions that are really cool and the last one delves into all the other parts.

"Look, I improved your animation!" aka "I increased the number of frames in your work without any understanding on what made it look good to begin with, isn't that great!?" Legit made some of the more impactful frames look like jello

The main power crux of this show is that people can summon ghosts called “stands” (they’re literally called that because they “stand” behind you) Each stand does something special, like manipulating fire or turning things into bombs. The most overpowered stand can manipulate time or fate. Some stands are bound to objects, like a book or hair

You're correct when you talked about JoJo having different protagonists for each arc. One of JoJo's major gimmicks is that each arc or part has different protagonists, with each protagonist being a descendant of the previous. It gets a bit more complicated than that (with some generation skipping, cheating, and some body stealing shenanigans), but that's the general gist of it. Also the bearded guy you said you liked, his name is Joseph (he's awesome), and he's the protagonist of the second arc of JoJo, one of the deuteragonists in the third, and an important side character in the fourth.

@@BenBenReacts If I have to describe each Jojo with a single phrase it would be like this The Noble Slayer of Phantoms-Jonathan Joestar the 1st Jojo. He is basically the personification of a White Knight. The Sly Trickster of Battle-Joseph Joestar, he is probably the one who got most of the current fans into Jojo. He was a sassy teen with one of the best gimmicks in the entire series, "Next you are going to say...." The Warrior of the Stars-Jotaro Kujo was basically the personification of the stoic warrior type. Alongside being the Face of Jojo from Part 3-6 The Kind Diamond in the Rough-Josuke Higashikta is basically a normal teenager with powers. Yet that what makes people love him. His story is facing down some great evil to save the world but to bring peace and justice to his hometown. The Golden Prince of Fate- Giorno Giovanna the first anti-hero that came from the Joestar Bloodline. The Warrior Princess lock in Stone-Joylene Kujo. I'll admit not a big fan of her, mostly because of how her story ended. But she probably has the best development within the first six Jojos.

JoJo's refers to the nickname of the protagonists, each season has a different protagonist but they have in common that their name begins with jo plus their last name joestar "JoJo".

Nice video, I liked the way you were assuming the plot without having any idea what the anime is about xP Jojo's Bizzarre Adventure is a manga from the 80's, recently having its anime adaptation since 2012, it follows the history of the Joestar lineage, and each generation has a different protagonist, this is how we have settings like ancient Britain and trips through Egypt until arriving at a quiet town or an adventure through Italy. Something that distinguishes this series are its many references (to music, art, fashion, etc.), its large number of memes, its bizarre moments, as well as its quite intense fandom. One thing that is really appreciated in this anime is that it uses a wide variety of musical styles (you can tell in its openings), I recommend listening to the character themes, they are very good x) And it's normal not to notice all the differences, there are too many details that even many fans don't notice until they see them for the second time, and when you understand those details it becomes quite interesting ^^ I forgot to add that the SFX versions are mostly something special that David Productions does during each season finale. More than anything for the fans, they don't have many differences apart from the effects so they don't usually give that much importance when making comparisons u.u

Here's some of the changes you missed, as well as some stuff I would like to clarify. For V3 of opening 4, they added sound effects, and they added the blond guy (his name is DIO), to some of the silhouette scenes near the end. For V3 of opening 5, they used an EDM arrangement of the song from V1 and V2, Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town. Also, the short kid with the silver hair is named Koichi, the word mystery was just summoned by the thing next to him, which is called a Stand. In V.5 of opening 7, the various main characters Stands (which they actually summon to fight alongside them, not turn into) are seen attacking the screen. This clip is reused at the end of V2. In V1, they are instead rotating around the outside of the "Justice" clock in the background. Also, the numbers in this opening near the end say "1999," which is the year that this part takes place in. The reason openings 8 and 9 didn't have any of the characters from the other ones in them is because they are the openings from part 5, which is mostly disconnected from the main story. The only real connection to the main story of the rest of the series is that the blond guy in it, whose name is Giorno Giovanna, is DIO's son. Each part has a different protagonist, all from the same bloodline. Part 1's protagonist is Jonathan Joestar, part 2 has Joseph Joestar (who is also the bearded guy from openings 3, 4, & 6), Jonathan's grandson, part 3 has Joseph's grandson Jotaro Kujo, part 4 has Joseph's illegitimate son and Jotaro's uncle, Josuke Higashikata, part 5 has Giorno Giovanna, DIO's son (who is also technically Jonathan's son for a spoilery reason I won't elaborate on), and part 5 stars Jotaro's daughter Jolyne Kujo. V2 of opening 9 also added a backing choir to the end of the song, Traitor's Requiem.

1. the "version 0.5" opening is because it was only used for the first airing of the first episode it was used for, so most people watching the series now aren't likely to see it without looking for it online. It featured a lot of incomplete animations and even reused shots from the show to fill it out towards the end. They weren't satisfied with it, so they redid it with all the shots frames they had planned, and that's what "version 1" is. 2.The sound effects versions are used just for one or two episodes to mark a climactic moment in the story. Most reactors don't react to or even see them until they watch the show. 3. When you asked if it said "1909", it actually said "1999" both on screen and in the lyrics of the song as it went by. 4. If the first intro is your actual favorite that might just mean you have real old school anime taste. Since the manga started in the 80's they decided to go all in on the big 80's anime sound. So, I'd recommend checking out the original Japanese intros for Hokuto no Ken, it's a classic and it inspired many that came after. 5. You've been watching this in 60 frames per second so that's probably why it messed with you. None of these are 60fps by default. 6. I've got to admit, I was a bit confused why you kept saying "transform" and "shapeshifting" when they are literally right next to each other. Though I guess the power system in this series is fairly unique overall, so I can understand why it would confuse someone seeing it out of context.

Jojo's entire vibe is pretty unique, especially coming from other shounen anime and expecting something similar, it's going to come off as something very different, both in terms of the openings and the actual show. Some people are able to jibe with it immediately, but for the rest of us, the show, the openings, the songs, it all has to sit with you for a while, let it marinate for a bit, before it catches back up to you and you realize how much you liked it, or how you will like it a lot more when you see it again, so don't feel bad about not really feeling the openings, it is something to get used to. I personally have had at least 4 of the opening songs that I felt meh about come back and hit me months later, and I love them now. Also it's pretty wild how if you know what to look for all of the openings pretty much scream all the spoilers at you in plain sight, but as someone who has no idea it all just kinda looks nice.

The openings can be very confusing if you did not already watch the show. I definitely suggest that you watch JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. It is a very good anime with good characters, villans, plots, and more.

It's so weird how sometimes nothing changes and Ben just goes "YOO THAT'S DIFFERENT" and then other times the most obvious change happens (like that part where Doppio is substituted with Diavolo) and he's squinting at the screen trying to tell if something's changed

I have never seen somebody so wrong and so lost before for watching Jojo openings 😂 which gives you an even greater reason to check out the anime itself! The openings are sometimes very hard to miss when looking into the many versions, like for example Opening 3 version 3 adds SFX but also during the transition half way thru you see Dio's silhouette (the villain of Part 3) for a split second in each transition. For opening 6 version 1 and 2 are different because when the main characters pose, Version 2 has them moving rather than standing still and Yoshikage Kira (the villain of Part 4) has a different scene inin

the robots are called Stands and they're a representation of their souls and each one has a different power, it was introduced in part 3 (it's where it gets better in my opinion), they use Hamon in part 1 and 2, hope you react to the anime, I'm sure you'll love it as much as everyone does!

Consider Jojo to be an inherited title, kind of like Zoro or Robin. Each season has a standalone story and a new protagonist. Dho there may be reoccurring characters The premise is that you follow a family line through their loosely tied adventure from generation to generation. It goes in order (and out of context) : 1/Strict great grandpa's vampire hunt in Victorian England 2/Cool grandpa vs the Germans and Aztec gods in America during WW2 3/Stoic son goes on a road trip from Japan to Egypt to visit his great grandpa's rude brother. It's a long trip so he beats up rude people along the way ___________side stories?_______________ 4/Cool grandpa apparently had a hidden son. He's an angsty teenager who's investigating a murder mystery in a chill town in Japan. Stoic daddy (who's technically his nephew?) looks out for him. 5/Great Grandpa and his brother met a woman in Italy. they had a son (no, you read that right) He's apparently part of the mob now. Cool dude ______________________________________ 6/Stoic son's daughter was framed. She now attemtps a prison break to beat up a priest who's hell bent on finishing a muslim's job. __________alternate timeline________________ 7/What if great grandpa was American? Apparently he loves horse racing and hates the president 8/What if angsty teen had amnesia?

I'll break it down as easily as I can for you. Jojo is not a single individual, but rather a nickname applied to people in their bloodline. The series spans a great deal of time. Opening 1 occurs during the 1880's, starring Jonathan Joestar. Opening 2 is set in 1938, starring season 1 Jojo's grandson, Joseph Joestar. Opening 3 and 4 in 1989, starring season 2's grandson, Jotaro Kujo, and the bearded guy is the Jojo from part 2 (Joseph). Openings 5-7 take place in 1999, and explore Joseph's illegitimate son Josuke. Jotaro really is the most iconic JoJo, he's basically THE JoJo

The characters change very often. There's 6 different protagonists and their friends so far in the anime

Honestly I don't blame you for the huge confusion. This playlist, as high quality as it is, had every little variant of openings as well as all the big ones. Even I got confused why it was there.

There something that I like to call "villain takeover" that happens in the second op of every series when we are close to the last fight the villain takes over the op and reveals their power

Stands introduced in season 3 are the souls and fighting spirits of the user. They are summoned in their user’s favor. A stand’s power, personality, and ability entirely depends on the user themselves. If you’re male, your stand would have a male appearance. Your hobby is cooking, your stand will be related to that. If you have anger issues, your stand would have anger issues too. Some people obtain stands when they’re born, which grows up with the user and ages with the user (Because it’s their soul). The user wouldn’t know they have this ability unless they found out in some way, or you would die of age and live a normal life without knowing.

I will never get over how fantastic this series is. it’s literally peak fiction.

Gotta love how everyone thinks Ceaser is Dio before watching the anime,it's super funni

something i don't think has been mentioned before is that on these openins with various verisions the last one tends to be a previous one but with sfx of what's happening on screen, they do that on the last episode of every season i believe

Honestly I love how little the jojo intros give you unlike some other animes that gives away like the end of the entire arch in the first intro and I'm just sitting here thinking when they are going to show it in the anime and half the surprise and the aw factor is completely lost and it is really annoying that most anime does that so I end up skipping the intro to too many anime because I don't want spoilers so hats off to you jojo

I'll say this, try avoiding openings that have "4K 60FPS" because while they look ok at times, more often than not, they ruin the intended framerate of the openings and can lead to unintelligible and messy visuals, especially during quick sequences

If you're questioning if there's a difference, there isn't. The changes in Jojo openings are the opposite of subtle. Edit: with two exceptions: Echoes is absent from opening 5 until it appears in the show for the first time, and Doppio doesn't transform into Diavolo in opening 9 until the latter is formally revealed. Those two are subtler and easier to miss than the other changes.

As a long time jojo fan this reaction was so fun to watch ^^

for the "shape shifting" its spirit energy rather than a transformation. they come out of their bodies and are two separate being tho they are the same at the same time and only those who own the spirits can see each others spirits

There are exceptions, as every spirit is unique. Sometimes they bind to or transform physical matter, so thus can be physically seen.

The series takes places across different places and times each Season. Sometimes protagonists from past seasons end up as supporting characters, but yeah, that's why it might've been confusing to you

@@Pokelova Yeah, maybe that's why there was audio delay at the beginning of each opening(like he said) and also the "smoothening" ruined the timing on a lot of things...

There are two fanmade openings called Holy Steel and Go Beyond by Nico Bellisario for Part 7 and Part 8 respectively since they are not animated yet, they are both made with original vocals, music and visuals edited from the manga. They are totally worth checking out. They do a good job of giving you hints to major plot points by showing you characters and what they're up to.

to summarise any possible questions when it comes to JoJo's: if it can, it probably already has, and if not yet, then it probably will. it goes pretty hard in the first part and grows from there in pretty much every respect. to put it in context, the first part is basically the gigachad vs a hybrid of griffith and dracula, but more JoJo's than that. yes, its that bizarre, that adventurous, and that JoJo's

some of this versions have such small chances it wasn't important to watch them but I appreciate it, I love seeing people see the first opening with versions

To anyone who hasn’t watched Jojo, there is one in each part, the blue haired guy in the first one, Jonathan joestar, the blue haired guy in the second one;Joseph joestar, his grandson;Jotaro joestar, Joseph’s grandson ; josuke highashikata, Joseph’s illegitimate son; then Giorgio giovanna, the son of the first antagonist who at the time was wearing Jonathan’s body(he’s a vampire don’t worry about it); and finally jolyne kujo, jotaros daughter

basically the powers of the main villians are related to time and music. Dio is stopping time like we pause, Kira rewinds time like we restart a music track, Diavolo uses time skip like we skip a song and pucci accelarates time like we use times 2 on a video thats the time powers theme

Some minor things some folks may not have pointed out in comments: Lucky Land is to JoJo what Bird Studio is to Dragon Ball. The name of the manga artists studio. Part 4 takes place in 1999 which is why the “breakdown breakdown” opening Great Days refers to 1999. The artist of JoJo likes his “western music” and actually wanted several songs to be used as openings but the studio talked him down to endings. Savage Garden was allegedly thrilled to be asked to use their song for that purpose. I ain’t checked your list of videos yet so I am unsure if you’ve braved the DMCA magnet that is “reacting to JoJos ENDINGs” except those few joke ending credits from part 3.

I haven't seen any comments about it, but openings 3 and onward, the characters don't transform (at least not most). The characters have abilities called "stands" which are physical projections of their spirits. So when the robot-looking figures appear, it's not a transformation but rather, a whole new figure, and each one has a unique power that is relevant to the character's personality, appearance, and overall attitude.

The bearded guy you like… yeah that’s jojo. The new guy in opening 5 yeah that’s jojo, and the guy in the hat… Jojo.

I suppose it would technically be spoilers of captions said what the antagonist said in the opening but its just chills when you hear it in context what he ends off on. "Sing a song of sorrow in a world where time has vanished"

22:31 You’re both right and wrong about this. The robot hair guy is Jojo(so is the hat guy but it’s complicated). Part 4- Diamond is unbreakable(openings 5-7) does focus on the side characters(mostly the shorter kid) more than Josuke(the robot hair Jojo) than it does in others

If you ever wanted to know what happens when an infinitely reversing force meets a mobius strip, then by god if this isn't the anime for you.

Some versions of each opening has an sound effect. An example was, Opening 4's V3, that version was V2 but with added sound effects.

For the version 2 vs. version 3, it added sound effects during the song for what was on screen.

For that one that you watched 3 times over, the third version of the Sound Effects version. It had a few minor differences, but you have to be quick to catch them. most of the Openings have SFX versions actually.

i subscribed as soon as i saw JoJo's Bizarre Adventure reaction channels because the series is a life changer!

I found it funny how it appears that after saying I’ll keep watch to try and find out the story, he looks away and misses a bunch of stuff or at leadt feels like

"It seems like JoJo does." Fans: "Uhhhh, which one?"

The beard guy it's the same guy in the second opening and it's named Joseph (every part has got a different protagonist btw and different story)

I respect these jojo reactions cuz jojo is so underrated i just ended the anime and it's such a great experience it's now my favourite anime and i be really excited to see the youtubers reactions to it
