What makes Joseph an interesting character is how layered Araki made him. Running away is his famous trait but even his running away has meaning.1)When he run from Staitzo is becoz he want to get away from all the crowd gathered to get an open space to beat him.2)When he run from Wammu it was to save Speedwagon life as Wammu would come after him.3)When he run away from kars he know beating ultimate life form is nearly impossible and Smokey,Von Stroheim, Speedwagon and Lisa Lisa and rest of the soldiers was in danger so he run away to get an airplane as kars told him the location of fight before hand so he must knew he could find a plane in the surrounding. Honestly this man has a backup plans for backup plan as he always fools his enemy to think he is an idiot by using a foolish first move while he already started his another move. He deserved to live till 6 parts(for some people questioning how do we know Joseph is alive in part 5 & 6, Hirohiko Araki confirmed Joseph is alive in an interview)
