As someone who's in the army I can say it's not easy but it's worth it . I came from a council estate and hung around a bad group but I signed up when I was 19 . I'm 26 now with my own house . Iv done tours and had a great time . The army saved my life

i served 6 years in the british parachute regiment as a irish man its gave me skills iv held with me my whole life every man should serve at least a year. 2 weeks in the middle of nowhere living in a hole will forever make you appreciate a cold beer and the love of a woman

Im in america at the minute. But some lad asked me to join the navy in the shopping centre. The patriotism is mad over here.

Also, the trainers don't want to make you feel pain. But they have to, for your own benefit. All they teach you and make you do is for a purpose, and that purpose is to keep you alive.

They train you to be a professional cleaner...and I'm still one today!😂

How did you get on?

My great grandfather and my grandfather,father, 7 uncles, were in the army. One of my uncles fought in Vietnam, my grandfather was in the Congo. My brother is hight up in the army now, when he went to Lebanon and Chad etc he said saw things noone should see, a lot of men and women come home with bad PTSD, the money is not great . I could never be with a man in the army, their away more than they are home, I don't appreciate that comment about Kilkenny Jonny B 😂😂
