where is the best (affordable/good amenities) place to stay with beach access in west end?

If you were to arrive on a cruise ship and take a taxi to West End, where would you suggest to be dropped off to walk around and see the most of it and throw your towel on the beach to get some water on your toes? I’d like to walk along a path to see all of the shops/restaurants/etc, and then catch a taxi at the other end to go back to the ship.

I would ask for the mission gate entrance, west bay mall, or bananarama. It is all the same spot, then you head to the beach and can go left or right. Many options.

You could also take a water taxi to west end, which is sometimes easier to grab a taxi. It is a nice 10 minute ride for $5 a person.

@@LaurenHughesRealtorandInvestor Thank you! What do you think about getting dropped off at the far south end and then walk back towards the Chocolate Factory? How far can we be dropped off for that, that’s feasible for that walk?

@@cmjb6118 I would suggest just being dropped off at the roundabout, walking to the chocolate factory and then back. There is only one entrance/exit of west end, it can get a bit jammed with traffic near the chocolate factory.

@@LaurenHughesRealtorandInvestor just giving you hard time, actually went through neck cancer last year as well. We are doing an airbnb for the first time in Roatan. Is parking going to be an issue when we visit west end?

@@buzzindsm3380 depends where you are going and if the road is blocked, but the pay lots at coconut tree plaza or behind drunker sailor are the easiest and most reasonable

How steep is the road to Sunset Villas for walking?

It is flat until you get to the very back, then it becomes a good workout.

I've been to Roatan twice now and I'm looking to come back for possibly a couple of months. I'm looking for an apartment under 1,000 new Westend do you have any suggestions
