Join Jill Robinson as she visits Bonnie, Clyde and Kindness in quarantine

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

We're live from our Vietnam sanctuary as Animals Asia's Founder and CEO Jill Robinson visits our most recent arrivals, Bonnie, Clyde and Kindness in quarantine!
We rescued Bonnie and Clyde two weeks ago, and last week we rescued Kindness. All three had been in cages on bile farms for 18-20 years suffering repeated bile extraction.
What happens next?
Bonnie, Clyde and Kindness will spend around 30 days in quarantine which is mandatory for every new arrival at sanctuary.
In quarantine we assess the bears' physical and mental health and build up their trust and confidence in our team and their new surroundings. Jill will explain more about quarantine in the film.
We will keep you updated on their progress over the coming days and weeks.

    You are a beautiful earth angel, Jill. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the tremendous undertaking you have achieved by saving these beautiful earthlings. All the world has been watching and Jill, you were an ordinary earthling like us, but now, you have achieved a status far beyond that, proving what a powerhouse you are.

    Bonnie or Clyde will need op to prevent babies though wont they because it's a likelihood that due to their earlier treatment they wouldn't vote with raising cubs, it's just a question I never know till I watched these videos that there was such a thing as moon bears when you think of bears you think pandas, grizzly bears, black bears, but I must admit their faces are the thing I love about them❤❤❤❤

    Have the government actually acknowledged then that bear bile doesn’t actually perform any genuine medical purpose, so using bears for bile extraction is not only cruel but pointless?

  • @HKAAF

    @HKAAF

    Hi Loucifer, sadly it actually is effective. But there are many herbal and synthetic alternatives available, we grow plants at our sanctuaries to make herbal remedies and pass them out for free to the local communities to show bear bile is unneccesary ❤️

    They are in quarantine for a month, then they will be released into large pens for a short period where they are introduced to other bears, then they are released outside to huge enclosures.

    I think they are better than the cages they were rescued from, with more support for the paws. I guess there have to bars at the base for hygeine purposes and because the bears get regular hose baths.

  • @HKAAF

    Sadly, the bears can’t be released into the wild. Bears on bile farms are traumatised both physically and mentally by their captivity. Often bears have been held captive for their whole lives and haven't learned the skills to survive in the wild. There is also the issue of human / bear conflict which is a particular risk if a bear has relied on humans for food for their whole life. This is why we rescue the bears and apply our decades of expertise to rehabilitate them and give them the support and care they need in a safe environment that reflects their natural habitat as best as we can.💚 Please join us in giving love and care to these traumatised bears: animalsasia.org/give
