DJ stance switching and footwork is advanced af, also the fact that he wins with clinch exchanges while being a lot smaller shows how well rounded he is and why he is the greatest fighter on the planet.

DJ is a real-life martial artist and GOAT in his division. A true student of the game. A Mighty Mouse, for sure.

I was expecting Moraes to reinvent his game, but he was hesitant and careful now, he can’t keep up with DJ’s game one of them waiting to make a mistake, DJ is just more advance on how he can earn points to get ahead in the scorecard.

He relies on his size(weight bully) to beat his opponents. He is a good fighter but if he was fighting people his size he wouldn't even make it to the championship

DJ is the flyweight GOAT. I think he could move up and still be the GOAT. This dude is so entertaining to watch. What makes me like him even more is how down to earth he is. He doesn't let his fame change his character. He is just a dude like the rest of us and he prefers it that way.

DJ won almost all of the handfighting exchanges. Lots of parries and handfighting feints into kicks. His handfighting pressure was so strong, he literally speed walked Moraes up against the cage on many occasions. I don't think his game plan was to handfight, it was probably to wrestle because when he is striking he uses his footwork.

DJs Seemless Stance Switchings so Much Fun To Watch

After this trilogy I have no doubt DJ is the best to ever do it. He was on par with Jones on my goat list but now DJ tops all that until Jones faces Stipe & Pavlovich.

Now DJ is the true GOAT. He went up a weight class where guys are massive compared to him and KO'd Moraes before beating him again. Jones has consistent advantages against the LHW's and even most heavyweights (12 inch reach advantage on DC) and still had to cheat with PED's routinely.

Those saying that this was a boring fight don't appreciate fighters who win with strategy. You have a 35 year champion fighting a 25 year old up and coming star, and anyone expecting DJ to just go out and mix it up, needs to think how he's hone through out his career and not got a broken nose. Why? Because he fights more with his head as much as with his body. A young fighter can be like a dog who doesn't get enough exercise. You need to get them to burn off their energy, and gas them out, and then soften them up. That's why he ending his career still looking pretty. Technical and strategic fighting is still effective fighting.

I loved how Herb did not give Adriano any rest. The immediate second he would press DJ against the cage so he could take a nap, Herb was telling him to work. I wish more refs would do that. So many fighters try and stall constantly and Herb wasnt having any of it

I don’t hear a lot of people make the point I’m about to… Regardless of the weight of a fighter everyone is a human so the speed of our reactions is set more or less across the board… but smaller fighters move faster so their reactions to the movement of combat has to be faster than heavier fighters and that’s why I think that when people make claims pound for pound…. You have to relate it to the speed and reactions small fighters have to have is superior to bigger guys… yes in absolute terms the bigger fighters the generate more power and are stronger but isn’t the point of saying “pound for pound” in relation to making weight relative to ability? DJ is the GOAT 🐐 and also coz of how he is a person, humble and positive to people… if we needed to choose someone to keep the ring safe from evil I say we send DJ, Jon Jones would be a tyrannical leader….

How can that commentator say that the first takedown that dj got wasn't a takedown? But scored as "aggression" i don't think he understands what a takedown is. Very interesting it did not go to the ground as much this time around, Moraes won the first time because he was able to top position knee him into a KO. Mighty Mouse was walking him down with no fear. I remember him also saying he does not do head strike training if there is no fight lined up, a very smart move. He's able to train on everything but that until he really needs to, keeping him sharp and not dazed lol. Good fight.
