The way Johnny is is a direct parallel to my dad: he’s trying to better himself after being what Robby would say a drunken loser. For years, like Robby, I despised my father. He’s part of why my sister won’t speak to me but it’s also her unwillingness to hear her little brother’s side. We’ve gotten closer recently after I went through a short phase of almost hating him and wanting to change my surname to my moms maiden name. I was making my own custom shirt for my first Jiu Jitsu tournament and debated for a minute on what last name I wanted. I went with my surname and regretted it. But now, things are getting better and I feel just like Robby when he fell into Johnny’s arms: a scared little boy who needs his dad. Between confusion, depression, anxiety and PTSD flashbacks like Sam had, I felt so lost and didn’t know I needed my dad when I wanted to kick him out of my life. He doesn’t understand my mental issues exactly as he’s hard to get through to with that but he’s affectionate and shows genuine pain when I hurt.

Jhonny Lawrence es el ejemplo realista de los jóvenes de esta generación como los de antes y como los que a estádo entre medio aunque la gente no lo reconozca y digan que lo que han conseguido lo han conseguido por lucha coraje y perseverancia lo entiendo lo puedo respetar pero no admirar por qué esa perseverancia a veces te lleva a muchos lugares sentimientos que a una persona seas hombre o mujer chico o chica no le gusta estar porque porque terminamos rodeados de personas toxicas y pienso no es malo a veces estar contigo mismo en soledad te ayuda a pensar pero piensa por ti no por las ideas que te den otros/as❤
