In terms of Furphy's NBA comparison, because that's the easiest thing for fans to visualise.... I've always seen Furphy as shades of young Gordon Hayward, mixed with young Joe Ingles. Unfortunately NBA fans never got to see young Joe Ingles, but he was actually pretty damn athletic. Sounds crazy now, because people nickname him slow-mo Joe.... but Ingles was a bouncy 6'8" SG/SF with LOOOONG arms, a good passer, shot it well, disrupted defensively, and dunked on everyone that wasn't paying attention. Sounds like a pretty good description of Furphy to me. Obviously a Hayward/Ingles hybrid is a ridiculously good player.... but I genuinely think that's Furphy's ceiling. By all reports, Furphy is a hard worker and wants to keep improving (he has every year so far). He also played Australian Rules Football growing up, so he's tough as shit!!!😅😅 For those that don't know what Australian Rules Football is.... do a KZread search of "AFL highlights", or "Best AFL Goals", or "Biggest Hits AFL". It's not like American Football with all the padding and time-outs and running over the sideline to avoid being tackled. It's no joke. Just my thoughts. To finish my rambling rant..... I'm calling it now - Furphy will end up going in the lottery in this weaker 2024 NBA Draft. Most Aussies thought Tyrese Proctor would be the highest drafted Australian.... but I'm confident it will be Furphy by the time June rolls around. Been saying it for about a year.😅😅

The lazy comp would be gradey dick. I think he needs to improve or showcase his ball handle to rlly see his potential

You sure your not spinning a furphy cobber? Look up furphy as aussie slang. Like your style.

He's the Fur~meister. Curry is still the meister but feels too laid back after falling asleep.

I'm one of the few people that would NOT be lying if I said I knew he would be this good, this early..... because I knew he would be this good, this early. 😅😅 To be fair, I'm an Australian hoops-nerd who has been watching Furphy's progress closely for the past few years. He played for the NBA Global Academy here in Australia (like Josh Giddey and Dyson Daniels).... which is actually the same program as the AIS (Australian Institute of Sport), just rebranded in recent years. Here are some names that graduated from the AIS (now called the NBA Global Academy): Ben Simmons, Andrew Bogut, Patty Mills, Joe Ingles, Dante Exum, Josh Green, Josh Giddey, Dyson Daniels, Aron Baynes, Luc Longley, Matthew Dellavedova, Mitch Creek, Ryan Broekhoff..... and soon to be in the NBA: Tyrese Proctor, Johnny Furphy, Alex Toohey, Ben Henshall, Rocco Zikarsky (7'3" 17-year-old), Dash Daniels (Dyson's 15-year-old little bro)... I guarantee there will be lots more to come too. Just about every single Australian NBA player went there. Honestly, Johnny Furphy looked as good as any of the above players outside of young Ben Simmons (who was a beast as a teenager). I've been trying to tell any American NBA draft junkie that will listen about Johnny Furphy for the past couple of years.... so it's awesome to see him finally getting the recognition I knew would come. Feel free to ask me any questions you might have about the young fella! Especially about his time before Kansas. Great breakdown bro. Keep up the good work! Subscribed. 👍👍
