This red blindfold guy is named kenshi takahashi and he is a swordsman that had his eyes gouged out by empress milleena. The dancing guy is named Johnny Cage. A movie star and bought kenshi's ancestor sword for 3 million dollars and how kenshi got blinded was by savinf johnny from milleena but getting stabbed in the eyes during the process. Johnny was a self centered idiot at the start but started being nice towards the end and started treating kenshi like a brother. Because of kenshi saving johnny from milleena Johnny gave kenshi Sento, "sento is the name of the 3 million dollar sword" and sento has the ability to (when a takahashi is the weilder) restore vision so kenshi can see even when his eyes are gouged out and blindfolded. When kenshi has sento, sento can move according to how kenshi thinks. And is able to levitate and move to defend kenshi and even make a soul clone of kenshi to help kenshi defend

Kenshi and Johnny do have a long history together. Also the game is called mortal kombat. Specifically mortal kombat 1 even though its the 12th game in the series. In mk1 Lui Kang restarted the timeline and remade everyone to be peaceful but past timeline's shang stune splitted the timelines and corroded into lui kang's timeline and changed the set history

As a Li Mei main that somehow made it to Grandmaster(almost Demi-God o,.,o), I could make a compilation of the amount of times it has *not* worked lol one of the easiest ways to blow up a newbie playing Johnny is to just not pressure them when they're losing or block on wakeup because that's when they love to do their super to try and catch you off-guard. They usually expect you to be mashing buttons like them so they'll just hold the counter state the whole time, leaving you ample opportunity to just like.... casually walk away lol No disrespect, I just find the habits of super new players really funny

@@NyxDiscordia33 oh, no shit it’s a horrible idea to do it on wake-up. I’m just surprised it works as often as it does. Most of the time I actually expect it to hit, I either a, parry after somebody drops combo, or B, parry after somebody does a special that’s not a projectile. Smoke mains, (which I also am)fall for that shit like crazy. It works against literally anybody as long as they aren’t doing a Serena string when I start up. Also no offense, but the disrespect calling me a “newbie” like this ain’t the first character I picked up is wild.
