Although I think CT was the peak as far as physically dominating on this show, Johnny had it all and was the most well rounded to ever play. Physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally.

Guys like Johnny Bananas, CT and Wes are great players, but for those who were into this show in the beginning may remember that they weren't always dominant. They used to have a much tougher group of well rounded players to compete with, like Alton, Landen, Mark (Long), Brad, Darrell, Derrick, Tim, Kenny, Tyler, Mike (the Miz), Evan, and a bunch of others. Once most of these guys cycled out, then only a handful of players kept winning.

Yes, he'd flip out and get sent home a lot and he was always a tough competitor, but a big aspect of the show was one's ability to wage a strategy that required managing emotions effectively. Otherwise, just as in any competition, the most athletic player is no good if he's always blasting someone in the face and getting disqualified.

KHSimages dotcom CT’s first 6 challengers except for The Duel 1, if he wasn’t getting dq’d for fighting he was making it to the finals. Then after rivals 1 he made it to the finals and got second place or won the season (with the exception of free agents where he lost right before the finals and battle of the exes 2 where diem had to leave for health reasons) so yeah it took Ct years to get his first win but he was always a dominant competitor, it’s just his bullheadedness when he was younger only allowed us to notice his athletic prowess and ignore the fact that he socialized well with people to where people wanted him around, or those that didn’t were too scared to vote him into an elimination.

Been watching Johnny since his key west days when he was just known as a party boy. Crazy to see how far he’s come !

Some hate him but the challenge would be sooo much worse without Bananas. One of the real ones who comes on to win every season not just get popularity.

After practically watching all of the challenges all the way up to the current season, banana is a true competitor. The way he competes is unmatched by anyone who plays this game. He has done some messed up shit believe me like taking the money for example BUT a lot of his main decisions have been backed up by straight facts man. Dude is a warrior and if there was a damn TEAM ONLY NO SINGLES challenge I'd love to have bro on my team he is a monster.

Johnny is the GOAT of all challengers, its more than physical....he has the entire package

Johnny Bananas has been my favorite ever since.

Fun fact - Johnny was primarily called by his name from producers until Johnny Reily (RW Portland) made his debut on free agents. To differentiate the two producers printed Bananas on his uniform and its stuck with him ever since !

A perfect example of how you don't need to be super likeable character to be an amazing challenger. I don't love bananas but i love watching him compete. 💁

Duel 2 Landon was a lock to win vs any of the remaining guys, but he went and got the damn pen lol. Darrell out running you, but puzzles aren't his greatest. Either way those three have the championship mentality when it comes to finals.
