jake and johnnie are such a comfort thing, from someone who’s always been different in style and personality it’s really nice finding people who are exactly like yourself. when you’re in a constant battle with your mental health and you find people who can distract you from it you feel so connected in a way, they don’t know me, never will and will probably never notice me yet it feels like they help me on a personal level. i’ll always be grateful for them just existing

same! i’m with that watching dan and phil too and have been since 2015! been watching johnnie since around then too when he was in MDE and jake around 2018 during the trap house era 😂 been amazing to see the growth they’re iconic fs ❤🖤

If you watched the entire thing you'll realize that the first half of the interview was focusing on Johnnie, and then the second half was focusing on jake and i thought it was really nice.....thank you for this lovely interview for our lovely boys ❤

jake and johnnies friendship is so genuine and real, i feel like that is why people stick around. people love their dynamic and how goofy and just silly they can be without scripting it. i feel the reason they are blowing up now is because of tiktok, the algorithm on tiktok gives an assortment of channels and also they might have blew up from the edits and stuff. i found jake and johnnie early march 2023, loved them ever since. they are such amazing people. glad you had them on today!

i am a 21 year old woman who recently discovered what autism is and am currently in the process of getting diagnosed, after years of wondering what was 'wrong' with me and being unable to socialize or connect to other people. jake described my experience perfectly and i've never felt so understood. i've never seen a popular public figure, such as a youtuber talk so openly about autism and/or mental health issues and this has helped me a lot. it's nice to see this kind of representation and know that neurodivergent people can be successful, have a platform and be liked by so many people. it gives me hope.

I remember meeting Johnnie at the bryanstars tour. He was working the merch tent and I asked him how he was doing and he said he was okay. He said he was going through some issues with his mom. The real response from him always stuck out to me. I’m glad he’s still on the internet and now on zach sang. We appreciate you Johnnie!

Jake talking about his expierence of finally finding out that he was autistic was incredibly comforting cuz that’s exactly how it felt for me too. I’m no longer angry at myself for being the way I am, finally knowing why I am the way I am, and that I’m not alone

I genuinely love the way Zach interviews his guests. He is so well-researched in his approach and respectful. It's easy to see that he makes his guests feel so comfortable opening up. Zach asks such good, deep questions that really bring out the character and personality of anyone he's interviewing! This is one of my favorite interviews he's ever done.

I love these two. As a Gen X'r I adore these two. I just love how authentic they are and you can tell they have a genuine friendship. I also love the difference between them. They actually make me laugh out loud which isn't easy to do.

after watching jake since 2017, its insanely amazing to see him finally get the attention he deserves and to have been introduced to such a great personality like johnnies

I’m really happy Johnnie actually got interviewed regarding his music and goals 😊 I loved that side of him expressing himself via podcast

I can relate to Jake's story about getting diagnosed with autism so well! Only in my case, it's ADD. I've felt wrong my entire life. I've always been kind of an outsider, I always felt like I was falling behind my siblings and peers. Everyone around me would constantly chew me off, or blame me for stuff, that turned out to be completely out of my control. You feel broken.. In my case, I had to be hospitalized for being s*icidal at 24 (because of being undiagnosed and a bunch of other sh*t), before I finally, FINALLY got diagnosed with ADD, comorbid panic disorder and a, now chronic, severe depression. It's been years, and I still haven't found the right ADHD meds, (and a year to find the right antidepressants) which sucks so much. But therapy and taking courses has been a life changer. And the few times the meds have worked, I feel like a completely different person, in a good way. It's wild!

Can I just say this is the most articulate and composed I’ve ever seen Jhonnie be. Thanks for letting your serious side out a little more… Very cool to see.

I graduated high school in 2007 and these guys are definitely bringing in a wave of that era into this timeframe which is really cool. Also, they’re genuinely funny and they’re not forcing shit to happen like a lot of other KZreadrs nowadays. They definitely give off a Bam Margera, HIM, 2000s MTV/ rock culture vibe. Just dudes being dudes that happen to be into darker looks & it’s really nostalgic
