Or she was just dragged to him, as a final blow to John's emotions. Her neck was broken and the guys didn't intend to kill him, "sleep tight". It's more realistic to say they dragged her. (Also the dog's body was was to the side, not making sense with the straight blood trail). You can say this detail might have been overlooked, but when you focus on this movie it has so many small details that make the statement illogical. On daisy's cage you could see she was scheduled for euthanasia the next day. Small details like this makes immersive movies.

  • @Mr.Jean-Joseph

@goose4469 I can see that and I understand what you're saying, but since Daisy was so small dragging her would be pointless. They could just lift her up and drop her near him, but the way she was laying down next to him was similar to the way she woke him up after the first night. Lol it's always nice to have discussions with people that enjoy the movies I enjoy.

My two favorite side characters are Francis the doorman at the club, and Jimmy the cop who we see again briefly in #2. A lot of people miss it, but when Francis tells Mr. Wick he’s lost 28 kilos, he’s really telling him there are 28 guys inside. And when Jimmy sees the body inside the house, he covers his body camera with his hat.

John telling him he lost weight, “how many guys do I have to kill in there?” When Francis told John how much weight he lost, it was the number of guys he had to kill in there. A precursor to this film is the 1974 movie, "Death Wish" starring Charles Bronson. He seeks revenge against those who messed with his family. Bronson's character is not a hit man, but simply an Architect who turns vigilante. This film also spawned 3 sequels. Bronson did play a hit man in another film called "The Mechanic" (1972).

Why else would they go out of their way to cover for him. Hopefully we will one day get to see when the three of them first met up. There is a show on cable that tells the story of how Winston gained control of the Continental.

Many ppl that react do not see a lot of the subtleties they placed in the film, and completely miss the depth of John Wick’s principles. He doesn’t randomly kill. He is like a machine who is able to identify real threats, from those who mean to do him harm. He doesn’t kill everyone, like the priest, the two ladies etc… He is a killer, who respects life. He was retired, with his wife, for 5 years, and was a little rusty….. He gets better as he goes, and his abilities return to form. Don’t wait too long between the 2nd, 3rd and 4th movies. Number 5 is in the works! Great reaction though, and I was proud to see you catch on as quickly as you did. Most reactors are lost for a while. Ready for # 2 👍

This story was written as a movie. That "book" was made after the movie by who knows and I have no idea how much of what the original authors intended it is driven by or it's just the story we get here with what ever they make up. Some people suggest that Winston was John's wife's father. That also makes sense but we have no evidence of that either.

I love how John Wick let’s Iosef go in the club. He was pissed that he had been living it up without a care in the world after he killed his dog and stole his car. Iosef didn’t take his own actions seriously. So JW only shot to scare him in the club. Shooting through glass does have a small chance, like 15%, it to angle the shot. So, for JW to “miss” 4 times from 40 feet, means he wasn’t trying to hit him. He wanted Iosef to “live in fear and dread” for a bit before he killed him. You can see the difference in how rattled Iosef was at the warehouse compared how he was at the club.

"I heard you struck my son." "Yes, sir, I did." "And may I ask why?" "Yeah, well, because he stole John Wick's car, sir, and, uh, killed his dog." "Oh." Boom! HEADSHOT!! 😎 Fun Fact: Bacon grease was placed on Keanu Reeves' face to attract his dog to jump on him when he wakes up in bed. Action Star Fact: According to Keanu Reeves, he did 90% of his own stunts in the film. Of course, Reeves learned and memorized the nightclub fight sequence the day that the scene was filmed. Stealth Adaptation Fact: The security guard who waves Wick (Keanu Reeves) onto the airport runway is reading the 1970s thriller novel "Shibumi" by Rod Whitaker, under the pen name Trevanian, also about a retired master assassin dragged back into the game. The story Viggo (Michael Nyqvist) tells about how Wick once killed three men "with a pencil" is describing a crucial scene from the same novel.

An ancient order called Assa-sins used to accept only gold as payment (weight in gold) for their services such as espionage, murder, or counterintelligence. It adds to the believability of the movie since there is precedence in real history. Some even argue that this is the origin of the Beggars Guild in China's past as well as the Ninja of Japan. If I may add a personal note, people who do work in military, intelligence and kill or capture squads must keep their feelings firewalled so they don't get in the way of what must be done.

You had a really good balance :) Theres so many great movies you could react to, but i'll throw out 3: Boogie Nights: set in the 70s in the porn industry- its NOT porno or sleazy tho, its an amazing movie with great characters The Black Stallion (NOT Black Beauty): while this is a movie kids can watch, its not a "kids movie". Made in the 70s before tv and film started talking down to kids, its exciting, thrilling, funny, sweet, deep, beautiful and really a unique one of a kind movie. I PROMISE its not just some schmaltzy movie about a boy an his horse. Am I correct in assuming the copy you watched did not have English subtitles for the non-English dialogue? If/When you watch the next three movies, please make sure there are English subtitles for the foreign parts, because they are actually very important to understanding better the plot and the characters. I saw you say in another comment that you are very interested to know the background of a lot of the characters. Well, knowing what the non-English dialogue means in these John Wick movies, especially the sequels, will help with that.

Yeah, I was super annoyed when I realized that there were no English subtitles for the non-English dialogue. By the time I realized, it was too late. I’ll definitely be looking for one with correct subtitles for the next three.

My only gripe is that the son should have had a slower death, or say something vengeful as he killed him.

Agree to Disagree. Allowing him a slow death on screen would have been showing him actual respect, which he had no right to. Stomping him out like a cockroach the first chance John got seemed more fitting IMHO. Like and love the thought process anyways though :)

I don’t think it’s that the cop and John have an understanding. I believe its more like the police know who John is, what he is capable of, and none of them want anything to do with him.

You seemed to get confused towards the end (which is easy to do). It wasn't Viggo that called John Wick to tell him he was going to the helicopter pad. It was Winston, the manager of the Continental, who called John Wick, as a courtesy for having had the attempt on his life inside the Continental. This franchise is a roller-coaster. Enjoy the ride!

Oh, I understood that part. I was talking about Viggo calling John Wick to tell him about killing Marcus. Had he not told him, he might have actually gotten away. (Not that I wanted him to)
