As I watch this I was just dwelling on something Chad just touched on with the big 200-300 million dollar movies and he took the words right out of my mouth: Where is the money going??? Regardless of what people think about the narrative flow or structure in Gareth Edwards The Creator, the 80 million dollar production is relatively flawless and even more frustrating than its inevitably flawed pacing or rushed/contrived 3rd act is what it reveals about 99% of Disney's absolutely empty trash. It's actually sickening to me. Idk how to make this comment seem both positive and honest, lol. But, I love John Wick 4 & I hope Stahelski continues to impress us and reveal new approaches to classic genre.

Chad Stahelski absolutely has to have a crack at the DCU Batman movies. his lighting, music, fight choreography and great cinematography would fit it so perfectly and almost be a copy of the Arkham games. also marvel, give him Blade already like wtf

One of the most important achievements, in my opinion, is his dedication to shooting real locations (flawless sets), practical in camera work and preserving the physicality of the action and setting within every frame. What cgi is inevitably being used is so well hidden for the most part. There's still plenty of examples of this respect and admiration for "old school" film technique whether it's Christopher Mcquarrie or Nolan or Villeneuve etc. Obviously they're working with bigger budgets and have more authority to demand certain standards that smaller budgets probably can't, but more and more I feel that if you can't do a thing right then just don't do it at all . . . . Disney, KK, there's absolutely no excuse & I hope Stahelski will keep well clear of you.

18:45. I'd absolutely love to see Chad tackle something like Star Wars. I feel like the reverence and love he has for older cinema, both westerns and old Japanese films, mirrors the inspirations for Star Wars beautifully. But I do think it'd have to be a case of Disney simply letting him & his team work. You don't wanna get the guys responsible for 4 straight 10/10 films in a row and then micro-manage their project to death. I can already envision the fight choreography and cool, beautifully graded shots of all the different SW planets. If he ever does get to sign up for Star Wars, I truly hope Chad gets to make the interpretation he actually wants to. Extremely rare talent and team.
