There are several things that you can pick up that explains a lot more. Vigo said that John was a hitman what worked for him, thus in his work, he met a lot of people and made contacts. The reason why they are friendly with him and more or less on his side is because, as you can see, despite being a hitman he is a decent guy.. He has honor and is not some jerk. He is polite (or tried to be), and he gives people chances (when he can), like he did when he asked Perkins to give him something, or when he told Vigo to hand over his son. Vigo knew from the start that if had just handed over his son in the beginning, then nobody else needed to die.

I loved John Wick because (from most shallow to more in-depth): 1) The gunplay and choreography is really well done. Really realistic and he uses the right number of bullets before reloading. Keanu worked hard and is really bad ass himself. You can find videos of him training. The movie was done by former stuntmen. It shows and is cool that way. 2) I like the assassin culture they set up. The codes, the hotel, the coins, and all that. It’s interesting to me. 3) John Wick. I love how they set him up. Basically, it’s a reverse slasher with the slasher as protag. They show don’t tell you he’s badass. That is really well done. I don’t mind we have stuff left to the imagination. I like the movie just allows me to make connections. 4) JUSTICE FOR DAISY! Plus, he saves that pitbull.

Why would anyone "love" the John Wick franchise? John Wick is a "retired" murderer. Assassins are murderers. Even when they are paid (or volunteer) to take out a Bad Guy (tm), they are murderers. With that being stipulated, here are reasons to love the Wick franchise. (1) Keanu Reeves. And that's a big feature. Search up the videos of Reeves practicing actual weapons training with live ammunition and marvel at how truly impressive he got as a trainee (although we cannot know how he would perform when live fire is also aimed back at him ... and as impressive as the mixed-mayhem fight scenes are, the opponents are almost exclusively born of the Cannot Hit Shit School of Stormtrooper Boot Camp). (2) The world building. Especially as the franchise rolls forward, this parallel cosmology where there's a high-dollar, hidden in plain sight industry of professional murder is fascinating and fresh. (3) The flip on the backstory of a vengeful badass. The wife died (but not, as might be expected from tired Hollywood tropes, at the hands of a Bad Guy (tm) ... but will JW4 reveal that she was actually taken out with a radioactive "poison" from a former-Soviet nemesis?) and her surrogate, the puppy, is the one killed by the villain, so that's an interesting spin on older, more-tired revenge backstories. (4) The more-relaistic treatment of firearms handling. In pew-pew-pew movies it has been an elderly trend for the Good Guy (tm) to never run out of ammo. JW features how a modern protagonist would handle ammo issues by slick reloads, effective use of an empty weapon, and appropriation of a "new" firearm to "reload" during a fight. I cannot recall what happens in JW2. More mayhem and further revelation of The Continental hotel, but the plot eludes my memory. JW3, however, is vivid AF (as foretold) and is arguably more fun than the original. JW3 Takes the best aspects of the first John Wick movie and exponentially doubles down. If you react to JW2 I'll watch it again with you. But you might actually enjoy John Wick 3. I'm happy you started a channel and am really enjoying your reactions. Keep up the fine work!

They walk away because Viggo was his boss and did John a HUGE solid by even giving him a task to leave and Viggo wasn’t the one who did that bullshit, it was his son… without his knowledge. Also he HAD to at least try and save his son even if it was basically a foregone conclusion that John would kill him. Once Johns wife dies, then the dog, then Viggo’s son, it was pretty much “even Steven”. Remember they are all about rules and a code, as fucked as it may be.

I cannot imagine how hard the scenes were for Keanu Reeves with his wife in the hospital, having to turn the machine off as Keanu when he was younger lost his unborn child with his wife as the baby was stillborn and then around a year or so later his patner died in a car accident. around the same time also his v best friend died too River Phoenix a fellow actor Joaquin Phoenix brother who was a amazing movie he was in stand by me. He and Keanu made the movie My Own Private Idaho which is a great movie. I truly believe he really wasnt acting when reading the letter from his late wife in the movie. P.S No that's not Al Pacino, unfortunately am v sorry cannot remember the English actors name but he is a great actor with a great filmography behind him.

One interesting thing that most people didn't really pick up on until after the fact is the reason why John chose that specific dog to take at the end - stamps on the clipboard on the cage say "To Be Put Down" and "Pentobarbital Euthanasia Nine A.M." I felt the same way about the character John Wick. He is cool and mysterious. And we learn more about him from his surroundings. It is such a cool perspective, that is rare these days. But we don’t get to know him. I don’t feel attached to him as a character. Everything is stylized. It was a fun experience but I was not compelled to watch the second John Wick film right after I watched the first one. I appreciate the honesty. Keep that. I don’t like overhyping anything. I watch a lot of reactions and I can sense if a reactpr isn’t honest and that is an instant turn off. I don’t watch these kind of channels. This is my second video from your channel and so far I am l liking your work. I am really looking forward to your Green Mile reaction.

I like your explanation before the video. Depending on the genre, action films have to do a lot so that they don't show the same thing over and over again. If you look at the story and the acting in a drama, nowadays an action film has to be very innovative in order not to let a film professional fall asleep. I really like the first 45 minutes of the film for the character build and the boogeyman tension. However, it gets a bit tough and boring after about an hour. but that's just my opinion. The rest of the world obviously says something different. Thanks for the honest reaction. It's great stunt work, great choeography and beautifully brutal. If you leave out the hype, that's all. Keanu or not.

Have you ever seen a Bruce Lee or Jackie Chan film? I think they'd be more your speed. More action than violence if that makes any sense. Just a few recommendations: Jackie Chan: Project A Police Story Dragons Forever Drunken Master II (The Legend of Drunken Master) Bruce Lee: Fist of Fury (The Chinese Connection) Enter the Dragon Game of Death And since you can't tell your Al Pacino from your Ian McShane, maybe check out some of Pacino's movies from the 70s. Especially Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon, The Godfather I & II and one of his, undeservedly forgotten performances, Scarecrow.

To the question of why like such a movie - for me it's just payoff/fanservice. (Save the cat) If you write a script to generate emotions it's in the forefront of your mind and then just add lightsabers or guns as a sort of ballet to the music. All (good) action movies are grounded to some reality premise and range from flimsy to excellent. Really liked your perspective, watch terminator 1 and 2 if you want to avoid KZread hate- won't regret watching either

The world building alone is intriguing and engaging while the combat and kills got more and more creatives and the sets, visually stunning. If violent Movies are not your Schtick don't bother to watch the other John Wick Movies . They have even less Plot and Character development that the First one . The Violence is still as excessive (and effective) as in the first one, but it makes less and less sense . AND (!) it makes no sense how the rest of the normal population reacts to the violence in the follow up Movies (shootout in the Subway station and Knife fight in the Sub ) !
