i love his strange sounds, the way he gives every single note "a life". not just fast and clean like so many others. always fun to watch him soloing with other "big" guitarists. they always look like nice little boys compared to john scofield. :)

I could not more completely agree with you. Sco is really fantastic - I mean he really PLAYS the music - joking around with his instrument, the boomerang, reverb and all that stuff and it sounds just sooooo great. I love that music !

When you see the looks of this guy, so WASP-y, looking like an accountant, you couldn't imagine that there is a Hendrix,Miles Davis and a Prince boiling in him...and yet I've come to the conclusion that he is just as exciting as any of the above mentioned flamboyant giants...proof that looks are deceiving....bless you Sco....

Scofield es un maestro de larga trayectoria, siempre con inquietudes creativas y de sonido de su guitarra 🎸 larga vida al jazz y para el maestro John Scofield 🇨🇱🚴‍♂️

Gran actuación de estos maestros durante el festival de jazz de providencia...falta traer más exponentes como ellos nuevamente.

Scofield es un guitarrista q innova con timbre nuevos, al igual q bill frisell , ocupa los pedales de efecto con el fin de expandir los recursos timbristicos, tambien muy interesante eso de invertir las melodias con efecto , realmente un guitarrista de vanguardia , modelo para todo guitarrista de jazz rock
