I had the privilege of meeting John at a Hawks/Niners game in September 2022. My son and I were in the suite at Levi Stadium next to him. I was wearing my color rush Metcalf jersey and my son was wearing his Largent jersey. Needless to say we stood out amongst all the Niners fans and John noticed us right away. I was as giddy as a little fan girl to meet him and my son took a picture of the 2 of us. John seemed genuinely surprised by my reaction to meeting him. He was very nice and humble. I have no doubt that coming to the decision to replace Coach Carrol weighs heavy on his mind 💙💚

@@PoopythePlumberthat wasn’t a snake move. I love Pete, but one playoff win in seven years and no improvement would get any coach fired. You have to pull that trigger. We WERE stagnant. We haven’t improved since 2018. We’ve been the same exact team, and that’s not good enough. It’s time and JS and Jody Allen made the hard but smart decision. No room for emotions when it comes to something so critical. And honestly, I think they wanted to let Pete leave on his terms. Only problem is Pete kept going and going.

I'm still in favor of Dan Quinn because of the familiarity and the unfinished business. Dan knows about the culture in Seattle already so he can come in with that always compete mentality, he can continue the "Turnover Tuesdays" and "Competition Wednesdays" in practice and other things players enjoy. He can get our defense back into a top 5 instead of bottom 5. I think him paired with an explosive OC is exactly what we need. Changing HC can mean changing cultures, I like our culture we have. Just my opinion. Or honestly I'd be happy with anyone but Harbaugh because of his ties to the Niners and cheating.

If Pete went to LA and coached the Chargers .... A team that needs Culture Change and loses games in the 4th Quarter ... Pete would rock down there. Team morale would improve since they know they have a HOF coach thats smarter than previous coach Staley and inspires people to play at a high level. Hey John! Blessings man. Thanks for coming on to talk and lend insight. I feel ya where Coach Pete goes. An awesome 14-15 years!!! Thanks Pete! Well fellas, I have EVERY CONFIDENSE in our Team's Management as-well Ownership-- Hey Jody! As someone who loves, adores and knows the game and how to play it. I'd like to slip in a few thoughts--- Game Time: Get us an offensive line that creates a W A L L against ANY Defense. In The Background: Get these fellas to become thicker than blood brothers and that every man is there and playing for THE TEAM-- it's ALL ABOUT TEAM... With respect to our present QB: I'm sorry, but I strongly feel Geno just doesn't have what it takes to be a franchise QB who is successful against ANY TEAM. Could he become one? You betcha he COULD, but I don't and have not seen "What it really takes to GET THE JOB DONE from start to finish every game. I'd bet anyone that 'I' could get him as-well anyone else playing at their TOP LEVEL. And for me this means ALL GAME LONG--- EVERY GAME PLAYED. (No joke) Mentality matters and so does the numero UNO weapon--- THE HEART! IF a heart is NOT IN IT 100%-- sorry fellas, you'll never GET THERE, but IF IT IS--- you'd better well believe that YOU'LL ALL BE THERE!!!!!!! As for Geno-- mister inconsistent. There is truly ONLY ONE THING holding him back from becoming a truly STELLAR QB. WHO thinks they know what it is??? On the Field: Behavior matters. PENALTIES CRUSH US. PLAT SMART for crying out loud. YOU'RE THE TOPS! I've seen children behave better. I've seen Pop Warner cause far less penalties and keep their heads IN THE GAME NOT THEIR TESTOST FILLED/CHARGED ATTITUDES... ACTING OUT solves WHAT? NOTHING, but it sure as hell GETS US PENALTIES! We can do WITHOUT THEM fellas. But don't worry I GET IT. Been playing Sports long enough to recognize it. PASSIONATE??? Hell Yeah and WHY NOT? Just put it in the RIGHT PLACE! MAKE IT WORK FOR US--- NOT AGAINST US! On The Field: TE's--- WE NEED to USE THEM for WHAT THEY ARE BEST AT--- which is UP THE MIDDLE-SHORT SECONDARY, YARDAGE GAINS. I must say, I have been a bit more happy seeing our TE's getting more play/usage as receivers. THEY ARE WEAPONS IF USED RIGHT! And guess what? THEY KNOW IT--- THEY KNOW THEY ARE. Just you ASK em and see what they say to it. On The Field: I find myself YELLING at the SCREENS or from the Seats when I SEE A STAR PLAYER WINNING THE GAME FOR THE WHOLE OPPOSING TEAM(S). WTFRICK? Seriously? WHO doesn't KNOW EXACTLY what THAT STAR PLAYER IS ALL ABOUT and WHAT HE DOES CONSISTENTLY? And THEY AREN'T STOPPED... FOILED? When I see that I WONDER--- WHAT IN THEE H_ _ L ARE THE WATCHERS DOING UP STAIRS??? IS ANYONE TALKING??? Truly I wonder! By the way--- I am NOT SORRY AT ALL for the use of CAPS... how the heck ELSE am I to GET PASSION ACROSS with the use of WORDS ONLY???? Besides I KNOW that most of the people IN THE GAME or ASSOCIATED with it HAVE TO BE WITH PASSION... OR YOU SIMPLY WILL NOT SUCCEDD & WIN!!! There's ALWAYS A WAY to STOP A GREAT PLAYER FROM MAKING EVERY DAMN PLAY and EATING UP YARDAGE--- GETTING REPEAT 1st & 10's! But you know what fellas--- IF thee OFFENSE IS TEARING UP THE FIELD... then that other player--- WHATEVER HE DOES... IT WON'T BE ENOUGH!!! Because a BAD ASS OFFENSE 'SCORED POINTS' and SCORED POINTS WINS THE GAME... or the LACK OF LOSES THE GAME. GET FOCUSED ON THEE OFFENSE, without forgetting the THUNDROUS DEFENSE and THEE AFFECT as-well EFFECT that THEY CAN AND WILL HAVE ON AN OPPOSING TEAM AND THE GAME ITSELF. And for now FINALLY--- Thee almighty $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ -vs- WINNING and PLAYING THE GAME AS THEY GAME IS MEANT TO BE PLAYED--- I'm going to example this point--- Years ago we brought a 3 round pick to our team. His name-- Russell Wilson. I was interested to see how he did. I looked into his background as a player. What I liked most was that he was ANIMATED physically--- able to shake off the defensive players coming for him, as-well FREEZING the secondary with his ability to RUN suddenly OR PASS SIUDDENLY. He was clearly MINDFULLY SMART-- SAVVY to what to do in a split second and he was EFFECTIVE. So what is the point to be made--- Russell (And yes I do mean RUSSELL) got us to the PLAYOFFS and ALL OF THE 12's were BEYOND ELATED. Me included!!! B U T- - - WHAT WAS THE FORMULA that GOT US TO THE PLAYOFFS and SO SUCCESSFUL THAT YEAR???? Can you name what it was???? And, can you name what KILLED US and KNOCKED US OUT OF THE PLAY-OFFS a ONE AND DUNNNNNNNNNNN HORRIFIC MOMENT for a CRUSHING END to a 100% SUCCESSFUL SEASON??? I will say that, "I DO NOT KNOW THIS FOR CERTAIN BUT--- It seemed to me that it was BECAUSE OF THE $$$$$$$$$$-- We suddenly had a QB WITH MASSIVE POTENTIAL and truly I tell ALL OF YOU straight forwardly-- Russell could have become the greatest QB that has ever played the game. BUT-- WE DID NOT USE RUSSELL as we should have... here is what I saw/thought/believe to this day. RUSSELL was suddenly WORTH A TON to thee ORG. And so, instead of KEEPING THE WINNING FORMULA RUNNING INTO THE PLAYOFFS... WE DROPPED IT in lieu of KEEPING AN INVESTMENT SAFE FOR OUR FUTURE... IE--- and here it is in a NUTSHELL... The Winning formula-- Russell out of the pocket mobile...a severe WEAPON that played out ALL YEAR. And EVERYONE in the league KNEW IT. He was nicknames DANGERUSS for GOOD REASON. Because OUTSIDE OF THE POCKET HE WAS AN UNSTOPPABLE WEAPON. BUT WHAT DID WE DO for GAME ONE of the playoffs that year? WE KEPT HIM STUCK INSIDE OF THE POCKET... which WAS NEVER RUSSELL WILSON'S GAME OR WAY OF PLAYING. We took him OUT OF HIS ELEMENT TO PROTECT OUR INVESTMENT and in doing so... DESTROYED OUR CHANCES OF WINNING! Which was 100% EFFECTIVE-- ONE & DUNNNNNNN WE WERE OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS. When $$$ becomes THE #1 FOCUS and DRIVE... THE GAME & HOW IT IS PLAYED CORRECTLY IS WIPED OUT--- GONE! Enough said I'm tired and leaving to Minnesota in the morning. Family Wedding time. Gotta go. Or I wouldn't! *Cheers!* to Our Seattle Seahawks!!! LET'S GET OUT HEADS ON STRAIGHT AND GIT ERRR DUNNNNNNNNNNN THIS TIME RIGHT!!! GENO--- YOU & I MISTER!!!!!!!! I'll MAKE YA FAMOUS!!!!!! Example--- Do any of you recall The Huskies back in 1996? And we had a Defensive player from My island 'Vashon' whom along with Alex Rodriguez was up for The PI Player of The Year award. Which Alex was awarded that night and I was there as security for 'Jason Chorak" whom was getting torn to pieces and could not effectively succeed at his position on the Huskies Defense-- UNTIL I ran into him on the WSF heading TO Fauntleroy West Seattle. He looked so dejected and DOWN in the dumps. I asked-, "Hey Jas... what's up brother-- how you doin? Why the gloom or dark clouds over you?" His reply, "I'm sucking in football. I can't tackle anyone, i can't get to anyone I'm failing." I had to shake my head to clear my senses as to what I just heard him say. This GIANT of a Man, with SUPER SPEED and STRENGTH sounded like a child in kindergarten who could get his way and so instead of DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT he was throwing himself in a pity party on the floor. WELL--- THAT was NOT GOING TO FLY with me!!! NO WAY NO HOW!!! All I could think of was, "GOOD GRIEF ARE YOU KIDDING ME???????? IF I WERE YOUR SIZE & HAD YOUR SPEED... I WOULD BE FEARED WORSE THAN DICK BUTKUS (One of MY Football IDOLS growing up) and WHY woujld I BE SO FEARED? That is SIMPLE... because I had thee exact same MENTALITY IN THE GAMES that BUTKUS and SOME RARE OTHER HAVE... anyways--- I HAD A 25 MINUTE SESSION WITH HIM ABOUT HIS ATTITUDE AND THAT HE'S BETTER CLEAR THAT UP RIGHT NOW YESTERDAY OR...'?' Well fellas, what I said/shared with Jas that day, HE TOOK TO HEART-- he thanked me graciously as we parted ways having arrived at Fauntleroy Dock. And he went on to DOMINATE and RECEIVED THE "DICK BUTKUS AWARD" which I WAS SO HAPPY FOR HIM-- yet JEALOUS AS HECK too! ahahah Anyway.... the point IS... I KNOW WHAT IT REALLY TAKES TO WIN. I LIVED IT when I played. I've played many different sports in my lifetime. I was always a TEAM PLAYER 100%-- EVERYTHING THAT I DID WAS FOR OUR TEAM PERIOD. And when I was a kid learning to play the games -- we were taught by the Older Brothers in the neighborhood how to play the games RIGHT. And Wayne, a SUPER TALENTED older boy in a multi arena of Sports saw SOMETHING in me and took me under his wing to teach SPORT ATTITUDE & ABILITIES HOW TO PLAY. Wayne told me, "Listen closely 'Hipperkay' (a Pig latin name for me at the time) ... There are ONLY TWO THINGS THAT YOU NEED TO KEEP IN MIND WHEN YOU'RE IN SPORTS & PLAYING FOR A TEAM OR FOR YOURSELF and they are..." And this is where I shall END! Because THAT IS MY SECRET TO SUCCESS IN SPORTS ANY GAME PLAYED! But in closing I will also say--- I would share it with Our Hawks, Our Mariners, Our Sonics, Our Kraken and Our Rainiers!!! *Cheers!* to you all. Thanks again John and Jody for keeping theTeam. Sure miss Paul. I built and remodeled my dear friend's place-- which was directly across the Lake from Paul & Jody's home and the always moving floating Heli port! (Steward Park area!) My buddies house had a Large 18 foot in Diameter Copula on top of his place. :--)) PS-- He was with MS since 85 as I recall. Always FOR US! Night all!

What the GM HAS been in charge of is scouting, drafting, and trades, and over half the time that wasn't good. So I agree with you. Either keep Pete or get rid of both of them and start over.

Schneider’s not sad or tearful. He’s playing to his audience. I deal in multi-million dollar contracts every day, dealing with many people that have their own agenda and looking out for themselves while they’re making you feel like they care a lot about what you need. The only other person in the room close enough to the game to influence a decision like this was Schneider. Allen absolutely sided with Schneiders difference of opinion, and Schneiders opinion was critical of the personnel and coaching. Maybe not critical of Pete. However, it was an issue of the power dynamic. Schneider didn’t have the power to make those decisions. In fact Pete had 51% control so this was all about Schneider wanting the power to shift to him. So he could make decisions and steer the team in a direction he felt it needed to go, contrary to Pete’s vision. One of Pete’s none negotiable’s to come to Seattle was full control. So I’m sure Pete wasn’t going to shift the balance. He has to be able to coach his way without limitation. Not letting someone else dictate who he hires and how he should coach. Or what happens to his players and he can’t do anything about it. I get it. I wouldn’t give in either. Giving up control to Schneider would compromise that and Pete wasn’t going to do it. So he fought to keep his job and the control of the team and decision making that impacted the team, that Paul gave him. He wasn’t fighting against Jody, he was fighting against Schneider. It was very telling when Pete kept commenting to and referencing Schneider in his Press Conference. They were “be careful what you wished for” statements camouflaged as supportive pats on the back.
