Damn, good to see that John's voice still sounds awesome.
He's very modest about his guitar playing abilities. Love the gum.
yeah i know i mean how can his guitar sound so crispy
I have been completely in love with this guy for about 6 years x
Wow, thank you so much for posting! Great acoustic performance from Johnny! He's so multi-talented, just gotta love it. =)
he sings well.
sure thing ^^
Well, I'm not going to pretend I can listen to the above recording and pull out the tuning, I'm just saying from both his authorized books he uses the tuning I put in above which sure sounds right when you hear it.
ok thanks for your answering
Look, don't take it out on me. That's their official published tuning. If you don't like it, and disagree with it, I had nothing to do with it and was only providing it since someone asked. It sounds right to me and to the people I play it for.
no problem
it is on ultimate-guitar
Oh . . . I must have misunderstood you. That makes sense. I'll have to give that tuning a try because it sounds interesting above. Thanks.
can you make out the chords and strings being picked in the beginning chorus?
does anyone know the picking pattern and chords used in the beginning chorus..cant seem to get them straight...
great performance, he soo hot
Assuming he plays it like the original album (and it sounds like it to me), tuning (high to low): Eb, Cb, Gb, Db, Ab, Eb.
hmm, I don't know the exact tuning for this song, but if the one u tried really is the one he's using, then it probably is cause of the strings u r using or the type of guitar, his looks like a Taylor 816ce, hooked up to whatever amps n all they got backstage o.0
I know the album version is D#G#C#F#BD# but this version is downed one step just look at broadway live in alaska it's the same tuning with this version
Alternative Tunings
i have tried D# G# C# F#B D# but the sound not that crispy
C chord then switch to 002200 this is the main chord of the song
he deserve a better applause than that flol x love the gum john xx
I'm about a mile away from there right now
How can his guitar sounds like this?
is that Ingrid Michaelson next to him?
actually he play this DGCFA#D tunings
not really I tried....
