These two gentlemen totally epitomize the spirit of motorcycle racing and engineering! I want to live in that workshop...
These videos must never be lost, amazing snapshot of a humble man with great knowledge and experience, so much respect for what he achieved
You gentlemen have such wonderful attitudes it great to be able to spend some time with you all!
The proverbial Brit in his shed....Fantastic !!!.
What a thrill to share the enthusiasm and bike eye candy here. Thanks and best to you.😊
Dear old John passed early 2021. I must say he was a real gentleman, always ready to talk if you met him at a track. Ironic last words from John in this video.
i realise i took pride in assembling a british bike back to original with the company supplied Ammeters & spokes etc etc, now i realise that this kind of creation of John & his other friend have a very different meaning to "Performance"oriented build of great classic vincents- how nice it is to see when they run like a true angry fire bird- John if you are reading this message- you are a treasure not only in UK but you are a STAR to the community of all classic biking & racing enthusiasts- my salutations to you !!!!
i would love to visit John's place in my lifetime. I own several vincents. They are my favorite bikes to ride, Thanks for a great video
I love how after years and years of riding you can still get the giggles from doing something awesome

I got the giggles, just watching it, today. Lol, it is still awesome.
Being in that room must have been something else. I recently acquired a 1951 Comet with much patina to the point of having its original Burges silencer with lots of its chrome still present I chased after for 35 years. This man along with many other vincent legends lets me makes me feel I'm only playing around, though my Comet is now a prisoner and I'm proud to own it.
the spirit of ingenuity taken to the max, lovely bike and I like lots the shots of the dyno in action with them switching in and out the starter with mechanical clutch and the big lever to stop the roller drum etc, and the graph is only in torque so he calculates the hp in his head for the camera. Would love to see what that dyno looked like with the floorplate lifted...
You guys ROCK!
Bloody brilliant mate. Takes me back to the 60's. Geronimo Velo 500 s/c
This video gives me goosebumps, in exactly the same way as a low Spitfire fly past, or the steam loco 'Tornado' screaming flat out through a station!!
Absolutely superb.
I just loved that sound, like an angry monster blasting through time!
Watching that fire coming out of that front pipe, reminds me of my old 47 Indian chief!! WHATA RUSH !!!
You gentlemen are TRUE bike builders. Those other people on TV can't hold a candle to you!
Legends before they became famous...keep going boys...

Alas, John stopped going. Complete failure of systems and no mechanical cure. But the memory lives on. Ed the plumber is hale and hearty.
A couple of TOP blokes ,Great enginering and a föökin lovely engine .Give it the Berries John :)
Why do you need multi-million pound motorcycle companies. When you can have an Englishman and his shed!
Thanks. Just love it. Not sure if Johns neighbors will agree though!
Very clever, skilled and talented. What a wonderful bloke and very entertaining.Keep 'em coming!!
Racing wet tyre probably saps 10% off the run straight away!? Where's the 20-year-old Macadam 90X 'dyno tyre' when you need it? Great vid :)
Absolutely superb! Long may this kind of brilliant English eccentricity reign.
hat's off to you gents,respect !
Harvey, brilliant video! Great to see you again today too. Al
Awesome stuff. I'd love to see this beast run a quarter mile.

National Treasures x
Wow. Check the solid flame from the exhaust
Che meraviglia, che passione conservata per tanti anni. Persone superiori a tantissime altre forse più blasonate ma meno performanti. Complimenti.
Wow. Amazing stuff. There's life in the old Brits yet. Go and show the rear to some Harleys!
really fascinating video thanks for the upload will have to visit the brighton speed trails to see it in action

I admire these guys so much, so inspiring. Wonder what they could do with my old bullet 500 ;)
Este john es una p.....maquina . Felicidades Y la hrd .Vicent me encanta
That is incredibly impressive, I would give anything to own a Vincent but seeing as I would have to sell everything I own in order to still not be able to afford one... I guess I'll have to wait! Great video though guys, nice work :)
'Old Farts' that's what we old bikers all become at a certain age. Thanks to you guys for sharing this with us. atvb t ..
G'day again mate. Not sure if you see these but I'm still curious 6 years later to see if Ed and John are still going?
Super this is great!

Any news on what John has been up to recently mate?
If Mick and Keef hadn't become musos...a different kind of brilliance!
Incredible Vincent genius
Truly the 'Best of British', total respect and admiration for you both. The Heath Robinson ethos still alive and kicking.
Brilliant. Would love to know a bit more of what you've done to the engine and gearbox. It can't simply be bigger than standard. How powerful without the nos? If stock was about 50 bhp, surely 130bhp of nitrous would break just about everything that was made in Stevenage. And, I love the name. Although being a wipper-snapper I had to google the meaning.
Nice one guys,1 dislike must be a tree hugger.
reminds me of burt Monroe bloody c
Legend !!!
awesome
Hi mate. How's John going?
We'll be there, murdering them ! I love this, good dudes, you guys kick ass ! I race a 57 norton Domi in the NZCMRR in New Zealand. I love seeing the old bikes being worked to within an inch of their life then flogged mercilessly. Awesome !
Oh My God!!!!!!!
Good God!
a modern day Burt Munro :) in the making : worlds fastest vincent
