Rest easy John, I'm 21 years old and I discovered your music as a teenager. Absolutely heartbroken to hear about the news of your passing, although I'm still very grateful to have come across your music so early while you were still alive.

I started listening to John Prine as a teenager as well. I'm now in my late 50s. John's music was with me all along. It was like losing my best friend.

Loved your songs for over 45 years. I'd like to keep hearing you singing new songs for another 45. Also, "Can't write about the new president without turning it into a rant." Solid gold.

John is the kindest human I have been blessed to hear speak. I’ve listened to hours and hours of his interviews. I’ve never heard him speak an unkind mean phrase of another person. “The current president is just too big a character to say anything.” I close my eyes and listen for hours to my John prine playlist and smile. Thank you, John, for your gentle spirit that touches our souls. I will never stop listening to your talented genius put to music.

Ive been teaching myself to record to tape. His description of the process is bang on; its only when you have a whole swag of standalone songs that they start to fit together. He was a cool guy

Now I understand why his music resonates so much with me at just discovering him prior to his passing. His songs TOUCH ONE'S SOUL, thus he's called The Spiritual Godfather. Blessings💕

Rest in peace John. You were always young at heart you never grew old that's why young people loves you so much. You'll be missed that your music lives on. God bless you. And those that you touched and helped along the way will continue with the music that you started will pass on to another generation.

This was the way of it, let the story fires be lighted.May our circle be strong and full of medicine;and now take back the soul of John Prine, that you have shared with us; he brought us joy and we loved him dearly .He was not ours,he was not mine;he was a blessed poet of our time and his light will to show the way............even into eternity .The Great Spirit has your guitar waiting my brother.

Wonder what he would think of the administration now. I loved the man’s music but celebrities will never wake up and realize that the politics in this country from either side of the aisle is not going to help the average American unless they are part of a special interest group
