The beatification is moving fast , but not as fast as we expected , but regardless he is already blessed so the next step is sainthood.

Sad that we never got to know him better, quite the most beautiful smile I have ever seen.

He is the first pope I remember. I recall his enchanting smile. RIP Holy Father. May you be canonised one day.

Yes,everybody who saw that wonderful smiling humble face 44 years still remembers...he was elected the day before my 15th birthday. Of course he was 'the real deal'... It is really fitting that he is being canonised today, Sunday, September 4th in the year of grace 2022.

Such a humble man, he was one of my favorite popes.

@@platano3000x I remembered him when he was elected on August 26th 1978. I immediately thought that he had a certain gentleness, warmth, simplicity and humility about him which was a manifestation of his holiness. He was my favorite pope and I was heartbroken by his extremely short reign as Supreme Pontiff and Bishop of Rome. We can look back at him and fondly remember his smile and other attributes that were his and think of what might have been. I think that he would have been a great pope and to date, I have a picture of him on my desk at work.

I have never forgotten Pope JP 1 , I think he would had done so much for us all , guess God needed him beside Him much more 🌹🙏❤️❤️❤️‼️‼️‼️‼️

It all looked so promising, and then he was taken from us. I still am puzzled why there was no autopsy. Will we ever know if his death really was a heart attack, or if something else intervened?

I heard about him some time ago(I was born in 2002). When I knew about his history, I knew he was a great pope even for only 33 days. He deserves to be remembered. Opinion about his death: It should've had a very good investigation.

I remember how surprised I was when I learned of his death. He smiled abundantly, he looked always happy (although it is said he didn't want the job but he took it for the Church's sake). I was not to hear till thirteen years later, in May '91 (through David Yallop's "In God's Name"), that he had most likely been poisoned, and this, in turn, was reportedly because his proposed reforms on a collision course with both the Mafia and Italian freemasonry.

Both Diego Lorenzi and John Magee, his two secretaries, always said he was a healthy man and Lorenzi pointed out that his personal doctor, Dr. Giovanni Rama, was "very surprised that they [at the Vatican] did not ask me to come."

True humility comes from within, not from what you wear or, in Francis' case what you don't wear. I believe Pope John Paul l of blessed memory was more humble in his 33 days than Francis will ever be.

This is unworthy. Nobody could match Pope John Paul 1's level of humility but Francis is a good man.

What would have the papacy look like if , the pope had lived more than 33 days . I think he would had become one of the most beloved popes of the 20th century. But that we would never know.

Try searching for Sarah Westall and Detective Jimmy Boots Rostien revealations on how he was contacted by Pope John Paul 1 to find evidence to clean up the Church. Its there on public record Jimmy Boots Rostien is still alive but is very old already. He was a good man who died too early may his soul rest in peace.
