John Patitucci Trio "Messiaen's Gumbo"
Here's "Messiaen's Gumbo" played by the trio on one of our 2021 concert's in Italy. I wrote this song for an album called "Remembrance" that was released in 2007. I'm joined by Chris Potter on saxophone and Brian Blade on drums.

Wow, that comment made me aware of how much in a bubble I live, as my reaction to it was comparable to the Reverend's, that one time I was in church and asked him who the dude on the cross was.
I hear some copious augmented 4ths in there, but not much more Messiaen aside from that. What was your specific inspiration for this piece? Nice piece BTW
