He is singing 2 and a half tones down from the original version (that's why you can sense something different), that's something very common among artist who have to tour a lot and need to give an extra span to their voices. Aside from that I think he gives it all to his audience and is an outstanding performer. Big respect for this artist.

In this live performance he "cheats" to save his voice by singing a harmony and alternate melody. Every singer does this live. It is the best live performance ever? No, but it's not bad either.

+von daniels And it seems it was the last song of the set so he (and his voice) must have been exhausted so rather than screw up the melody he sang a comfortable harmony which fit perfectly. What a fantastic and unique performer! I like the fact that his voice is different and he stays true to himself.

The original was in the key of G minor. He is singing this in F minor. A whole step lower. Phil Collins is singing a lot of his stuff in his recent tour in a lower key. Not that uncommon
