Ma'am ...Henry the 8th became the head of the church as he was not allowed to divorce his wife ..then why do milton had to write pamphlets if divorce was legal before and if he was a protestant ? Anglicanism and protestantism is quite ambiguous for me ....is it because puritans weren't protestant and therefore against divorce?
