This version is the original, lol. This was the prerelease you could download from Napster in early 2000 before Room for Squares came out.

This acoustic version is an absolute classic... Man, it brings back some memories.

o-m-g I haven’t heard this version in 22 or 23 years. I downloaded it off of Napster and thought it was the version on the album. I bought the album and was so mad because the acoustic version is superior. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

I first heard this version back in 2001 when I still had AOL and had this on I think either Napster or likewise bootlegged. I think this is the AOL SESSIONS version. Not sure. This is the best version; because it combines this song and my stupid mouth with some changes to the lyrics at the same time. Then he also skats the solo which even then at the time took me by amazement. I was a young boy in love with John Mayer. Because I knew then;. How amazing he was at guitar! Been one of his biggest fans ever

Thanks for this. IMO, this is the definitive version of this song. Similar versions exist, yes, but this is the one that made me realize he was a serious live performer.
