I sing out just as loud to ‘Your Body is a Wonderland’ in 2023 as I did in 2001. The teaser of ‘My Stupid Mouth’ is perfectly placed!

Currently absolutely loving Born and Raised. "If I Ever Get Around to Living" is on continuous loop.

Continuum, Born & Raised but Heavier Things instead would be my top 3 :-)

I know, I would too. Bur it’s because of the way it was released. John released it in “waves” so it was 4 song EP’s and the general public just hated that format so that record just kinda goes overlooked unfortunately.

It wasn’t only meant to be one album as well. It was meant to be the first volume in multiple albums potentially released that year. Its weird release definitely makes it feel like it’s not a perfect front to back release as John intended.

I love that one too. In fact I love all the John Mayer albums except for Sob Rock and Paradise Valley even though they both have some of his best and most underrated songs on them. One of the main gripes people have with Search for Everything beyond it's goofy release format was that it feels unfocused and lacks a central theme/style and feels more like a jumbled collection of songs. In terms of genre it's all over the place and lacks some of the great work he's been able to achieve with mixing basically any genre with Pop music that he's been able to achieve throughout his career, such as Continuum's blues/r&b/jazz fusions or Sob Rock's retro 80's synth pop and blues blending or Born and Raised's heavy country and folk styles. Instead of mixing every song it sounds like Love on the Weekend is a bubbly pop song, Roll it on Home is a country song, Helpless is a rock song (etc.) and they don't blend together.

Those are my three favorites! Yes! Love Sob Rock, Continuum and Born and Raised.

contiuum will always be the best album ever.

Agree. Each one mark a special period in our life it seems. Clarity, 3x5, Bigger than my Body, split screen... our high school years. Gravity, Heart of Life, Don't trust myself, Slow Dancing... our college years. Heartbreak warfare, half of my heart, edge of desire, assasin... young adulthood.

Battle Studies is my #1 but I love Continuum and Sob Rock too. Whiskey Whiskey Whiskey is one of my favorite songs but I’m not the biggest fan of Born & Raised 😅

I think John is absolutely correct in his opinion lol. Those albums are my three favs. I love how he mentions the idea that he isn’t telling the truth about Sob Rock, but I think that is a near perfect album

Half of that album could be struck down afaic. Particularly because the Inside Wants Out versions of Back to You, No Such Thing, My Stupid Mouth, and Neon are all better.
