The guy is so smart, introspective and insightful. Love how he analyzes life.

Comparing this interview to his one a couple years back at Thanksgiving/Christmas time.. damn, he's matured a lot

I saw him last night again, making it my third show (first in 2010, second in 2017) and with each subsequent show he's given off more maturity and genuine introspection. A stark difference from the first show where my parents and I weren't impressed by him as a person. It's nice to see someone who's actually worked on himself.

Born and raise, THE ALBUM to have... John, you're just a genius...

I agree. Songwriting wise, this is his best album in my opinion. Walt Grace's Submarine Test did a lot of things right for me along with the other songs on the album.

I'm glad he took a break and is back now, he definitely seems to be in a better place and thinking about the music again

What a fantastic album. What a fantastic man.

I don't think it's that he's a horrible person or anything, I think he's just made a lot of mistakes.. but at least he's owning up to them unlike some people would! But regardless of that, musically - he is a genius/legend.

I just feel so lucky that I discovered John Mayer as a very good man who has a very beautiful heart. A douchebag that some people think he is, literally changed my life. A man's mouth who some people believe it stinks, always makes me cry and inspires me. I'm here to support him. I love him so much. The man who had short hair and a firm body two years ago, and the man who is now sitting down with Ellen with a hat on is the same beautiful person to me. It's good to see him again.

I love his hair too. The album is wonderful, makes me want to learn to play a guitar.

I'm happy for John. He's enjoying his life as much as possible, throat issues and all, and has his priorities straight. Thankfully, he doesn't take all this chatter bout his hair, his past, his image seriously. Can't wait till his throat his fully healed and he can get back on the road!

Really good for him! I really hope he has changed as a person bc I have been a HUGE fan of his music for a really really long time.
