I feel so spoiled. I drove 5 minutes, and paid $10 to get into the bar, and John Mayer just showed up and played for an hour. Such a great surprise.

it's kind of scary listening to these songs. they're so lyrical, it's just heart wrenching.

In 20 years this album will be a "classic".

He broke my heart the first time I heard him sing the "I got a mom, I got a dad, but they do not have each other" part, so beautiful but yet so sad.

This is one of my favorites, too. Of all the new songs, it has stuck with me the most.

Own stuff, jimi hendrix stuff, bob dylan stuff, bb king stuff, enz. He can do it all..I think he is the most talented artist of this generation. Mayer RULES!

I cant begin to tell you how much i love this song.. it reminds me so much of my childhood and makes me look back on all those found memories of being a little kid with such a strong love from my parents..im older now, with no mami, and no papi, and so unhappy, but oh so gladdddd

I spent my whole paycheck to see this wonderful man! I have to travel across the world though, but its worth every penny!

If you don't like born and raised, you basically don't like classic rock. Nothing but huge shout outs on this album to those who came before. Bob Dylan, Crosby Stills and Nash, and to me this album is great because it's exactly what he needed to do. He went back and found the grassroots to classic rock. Yes, Continuum is amazing, but so is this CD...and who says he needs to do complex guitar all the time?! HE'S JOHN MAYER! He's got nothing to prove to anyone. Great album John!

John Mayer is one of the few artists that manage only to get better with every album released. There will never be a bad John Mayer album, only bad tastes in music.

I had a tragic computer crash and lost a lot of music from my iTunes [yeah, I know shoulda backed up]. The first music I paid for again and downloaded was John Mayer. :)

I love how he can write any type of genre of music... and it stills sounds AMAZING

It's one of the venues where he sometimes tries out material. It's usually unannounced, or announced a hour prior. :-)

People really need to stop hating on him. If you can't look past the fact that he grew his hair out and didn't call this album "Continuum II" then you don't deserve to call yourself a John Mayer fan. The lyrics in this song are incredible. I'll be buying this CD the second it comes out because I know he's going to pursue an entirely new sound that's going to be absolutely brilliant.

This vid should have so many more plays.. I come back to this one several times a year.. so good!

It wasn't easy, because I had to hold up the camera and hold it steady for about an hour. :P For all of the trash talk I've heard about John, he could not have been any nicer in person. Meeting him was the highlight of my year. Of course, it's only January, but still. lol.

I love Musical Artists… Mr. Mayer certainly qualifies. If musical talent were a medal… Mr Mayer would be gold. Nothing pop here just good music.

I can't believe over the years I've not heard this get any radio play. Exception of like Sunday mornings over easy , a program locally you can hear in Indy, & Bloomington, In. areas.

This song will definitely be a hit. It's the name of the new album. And I can already hear an incredible full band arrangement of it. I'm so stoked for his next album.

this is for SURE where he's gotta go. suddenly after his hospital visits he has been thinkin just like that first time he was in the hospital and realized he wanted to sing his whole life rest on. we are gonna see a classical change for a singer songwriter. he got the led out in his blues, he got the exxxxxxxxxtra pop squeezed out with alll the heartbreakwarfare scene and now he has been listenin to old mid 70's songwriters and is gonna show us his wiser and real acoustic side bringing all home

Hes gonna be legendary, not only with his music, but with his personal life... look at him, hes a wreck, yet writing the best music of his life.... hes obviously has some issues now, Im not judging him, but, he seems really depressed... Hes writing all them amazing songs about love, maybe he just wants to find that perfect girl that he writes about... and not just buy shit that will make him happy for a couple hours...he just wants pure emotional happiness

you must've never heard of "Stop this train". I personally think that's his most passionate and heartfelt song, and I'd think John would agree. "Daughters" is still great, but most of his best work has come after it.

john mayer is underated by most... its cause so many people listen to daughters and think its too poppy... but hes done some awesome bluesy rock n roll stuff too. and he is freakin good with hendrix covers and he sticks to the old fassion way of writing your own songs and playing instruments and being really good at it. even on his pop songs, the guitar is amazing. cant wait for his new album in may to kick all these other pop artists out of the way

this album is incredible, one of the best guitarists in the world and yet his best albums come from simple acoustic melodies. Opened my eyes to genres which I've completely overlooked until now. Who else but john? fucking legend

From what I have heard from the songs that are supposed to be on his new album, Born and Raised. They seem like a branch off of Continnum. In fact, the song Shadow Days seems like an extension of his song In Repair, off of Continnum.
