    @@Ben-xm2sj yet rdr1 has less playtime than rdr2 so if we take that into consideration we're able to play as jack and arthur more. Then you have rdr2 epilogue, then to get play as John. You also don't realize that Arthur is the reason John has a life after the gang, so if anything Arthur had the biggest impact on the story more than anyone else.

    And both their sacrifices ended up meaning nothing. Arthur died so that John could live a normal with his family but only 8 yrs later he was killin Micah and another 4 yrs later, he got caught. John died so that his son could live a normal life without any complications. But jack killed Ross and became an outlaw on the run. Arthur and John failed to give their loved ones normal lives. That’s the tragic part.

    Heartwarming how both Arthur and John told the people they loved to go and not look back right before their death

  • @2geekygamers

    Everyone realised after playing RDR2 that even though Edgar Ross forced John to find all the other members of the gang, he had his own reason entirely: Arthur Morgan. The man who gave his life so that John and his family could have one of their own. I think John is not just trying to make amends for all the wrongdoings he has done, but to honor an old friends dying wish.

  • @nickwarfare1411

    @nickwarfare1411

    3 жыл бұрын

    Well wasn’t Arthur’s death wish was not to look back? He always says revenge is a fools game so I don’t think it’s really his death wish to go and hunt out all of his old gang members, but what you said could be a driving factor for John even if he went against Arthurs advice

  • @2geekygamers

    @2geekygamers

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@nickwarfare1411 Yeah that's what I mean. Despite Arthur's advice about seeking out revenge as well as being forced to hunt down the other members of the gang, I think that was also John's way of making peace with himself. Much like how helping John and his family start a life for themselves was Arthur's.

I see a lot of people comparing John and Arthur, saying Arthur is better or upset about having to play John at the end of RDR2. I’m not sure if they just never played rdr1 or not but Arthur being a well written character doesn’t make John any less of a great character. I love both of those cowboys, it just kind of makes me sad to see all this love and support for Arthur and none for John, I played Rdr1 years ago and fell in love with it. And without it we wouldn’t even have Rdr2 or Arthur Morgan.

A dishonest man hides behind lies and deception and never says what he thinks or feels. You never know where you stand with him and that makes him a walking joke that nobody holds any stock in. He is a rumor and is about just as trustworthy as his word and his word counts for nothing. But the honest man, you may not like what he has to say about what he believes, but ultimately you know exactly where you stand with him. if it weren't for arthur john probably would've never gone straight or atleast tried arthur saved his life yes but was jack was taken that when john really realized how bad of a father he was and he saw how bad arthur wanted a family like john and the main reason arthur helped john was because john had exactly what arthur wanted and was throwing it away.
